How were your cycles after mc?

I had an early loss at 5+3 last month and now I'm wondering what to expect about my cycles. I was temping before but I stopped when it was just emotionally feeling too hard on me and also the battery was dying in my thermometer so it wasn't giving reliable readings. Now I have no idea if I ovulated or when I ovulated.

Normally I ovulate on cd 17 or 18 and my normal cycle is then 29 or 30 days. Right now, if you count the first day of bleeding as cd 1, then I am at cd 31 so ff is getting all excited saying I am late and could be pregnant. I think that af would be delayed this month anyways so I'm not letting that be exciting yet. However I have been feeling really nauseous for the last few days, peeing a lot, pinching in my uterus, and super tired so I'm going to test tomorrow. I just have no idea how many dpo I will be so I don't know if I'm testing early or not.

Anyways, I'm just wondering by how much all of your cycles were different after a loss, especially an early loss like mine. Has anybody ended up conceiving right away after a mc?

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a loss in August at 6 weeks, I started temping after the bleeding stopped and it went up and down so much, my cm was crazy and all over the place but af showed up at 37 days which is my norm. Now that was my first cycle post mc, so we'll see what this next cycle looks like.

Thanks for the response! It gives me some hope that your cycle was the same length as usual. Technically AF is now 2 days late, no spotting, but a BFN this morning. Maybe I was delayed in O just a few days. I'm thinking that Friday is when I should expect her at the latest so I'll test again tomorrow morning (it's Thanksgiving here so I want to know if I can have a glass of wine), and then I might wait until Friday if I can manage it.

Hi miss Yogi with my 8 week loss AF showed up right on time, 30 days post MC. I read that most of the time with first trimester losses AF isn't more than a week late. Fx for you

Hopefully I'm just actually late! That definitely gives me hope, although I don't know why the test would be negative then.

Hey Yogi, I'm sorry for your loss, cycles can definitely be strange after a miscarriage. I hope you really are late!

I had a loss at 5+4 in August. Before that, I usually had a 27 day cycle. After my loss, my first cycle was 34 days, and the next cycle was 32 days.

Still no AF, now a week later than my normal cycle. Yesterday test was negative and I didn't test today. Don't think I'll test tomorrow either because I'm not really hopeful at this point, I'll test on Sunday if no AF. Anybody had AF more than a week late after an early loss?

8 days now. In on cd 38 of a normal 29 day cycle so if I don't start today it's 9 days late.

HI Miss Yogi

It took 8 weeks to the day to get my AF back. My Dr wasnt concerned until it got close to the 12 week mark. Which was very disheartening because I really want to get back on the ttc bus.

Now I'm on CD 12 and my bbt and opks are all out of whack. I have no clue if I ovulated, am I going to ovulate or am I having a anovulatory cycle

I really hope your cycle returns normal and you get back on track

Oh I hate the not knowing! I had my late miscarriage 4th July, 8 weeks later af showed up and then again 2 weeks later and again 2 weeks later, af is due tomorrow and no signs so I hope I'm pregnant or my cycles are still a mess x

Af came on Tuesday finally. Very light bleeding on Tuesday, then full flow on Wednesday. I'm calling Tuesday day 1 though. Happy to finally have a cycle again but slightly sad to have not caught right away
