So apprently not everyone gets offerd an early scan after only 1 loss.

and also i dont know how far along i am due my crazy periods.....
so how wud i find out then if i wont get offerd one?


Or will they offer me one to find out how far along i am?
Going docs 2moro to get booked in and guess will have to see what happens

I wasnt offered one and i had crazy periods. I ended up bleeding and got one that way. Ask though as you may get one

It depends on the area you live in but it is defiantly worth asking about!

I have had two m/c's and have irregular periods and my GP said an early scan was a must due to one mmc and a rather odd second one which was most likely also a mmc. But the midwife (who calls the hospital in appointments at my doctors) tried to get me one from two different departments at the hospital and could not.

Hi hun I wasn't offered early scans in any of my losses. I only got one at 9 weeks with my 2nd angel because I fall pg straight after my first loss and they needed to work out my dates. Then my pregnancy with Jessica I only got one as I had cramps and spotting. I'm only getting early scans this time round because I fought for my consultant to give me them due to my history.

I'm afraid that even if you have crazy periods they probably still won't scan you. As long as they have a period date to go by they will use that til your 12 week scan. Hope your booking in goes well. x

Can't hurt to talk to your Dr or MW about it. Ask if you can get one and see what your options might be for getting one privately even?

It's always worth pushing a little and doing some extra enquiries, can't hurt after all!

My doc wudnt give me one either , I told him how anxious I was and even cried!! But said epu were very busy.

But the epu does private ones for £50 so I guess MHz wants extra dosh so gona get one of them.
