HPTs - ICs vs First Response

Hi,

How do these compare ? Any experience in terms of testing early - using either internet cheapies or first response ??

First response are dearer - but any idea how they compare in terms of sensitivity (earlier testing) ?

most internet cheapies are 10miu and i think frer are 25miu.

i always use internet cheapies and confirm with a frer but eeryone is different and some ppl dont get pos on ic but do on frer

my own experience i got a really really faint line on internet cheapy and a faint but visable line on frer so if you dont mind paing for frer then go for it but i personally would buy a batch of ic and a box of frer to back up the ic

Im dpo9 and wondering if a better test might put me out my misery! ;-) IC this morning was BFN of course, you read FRER say 6 days before AF is due! Its dur saturday or monday depending on my varied LP.

I took ic got a fair but decent line. It got a bit darker after a few mins. That evening I bought a first resp + s clear blue digi and both were blaring positive..

I found when I finally got a visible but still very faint line on an IC, my FRER'S were blazing positives already.

I still use the IC's though as they are cheaper for my PAOS addiction but FRER are more reliable for really early I think.

Well... Someone needs to give me a slap... What a waste of time!

Wasted 1 of my clearblue digi in dpo10 this morning... And they reckon nothing prepares you for the non- ambigious "pregnant" you get etc, well... Nothing prepares you for "not pregnant" either!

No squinting for lines, no need to ask others hopefully etc etc.. Just "not pregnant", my AF is due tomorrow (if lp is 10 days like last month) or due monday is lp is 12 like cycle before that). Its only 3rd cycle ttc so not sure on lp as yet.

But at dpo10 - bfn - more than gutted! I thought it would help to know ne way or the other with a sensitive/acurate/proper test (for a few days anyway) as it says 97% accurate for women 2 days before, 86% accurate for 3 days before...

Trying not to get bummed out, but im fed up.. i need your help ladies... I've only a day or 3 to wait til AF comes i think... I thought id timed it soooo perfectly too....

Hunny I definitely kno the feeling. 10 dpo is still early. I wouldn't test until AF is late, just spare yourself the heartache. If your not just keep trying, stay positive, but don't put yourself thru this again. Just test if your late. It saved my sanity going by that rule.

Yes I know.. why do we do it eh?

It's a trade off.. whats worse ? Waiting til AF is late, or going through this every morning... sigh...

I know I'm not totally out, just annoyed at myself for wasting one of my expensive tests when I know its wayyyy too early...

Oh well... we'll see I guess...

I think the IC are just as sensitive and FRER. And I liked the walmart 88 cent ones the best. These are from my last pregnancy, and at 11dpo. The IC picked it up suuuper early for me at 9dpo.

The FRER show progression much better though.

I used an ic last night just out of curiosity. Two very dark lines. I really think they work for a basic yes or no answer.
