HSG Ovulating Question

Getting my HSG test at the end of the month. And I'm thinking that I'm going to be ovulating around the time that I get it done, so does that ruin my chances for getting pregnant this month if I am ovulating or about to ovulate when I get my HSG?

I think you need to discuss this with your doctor. I had to have my hsg on day 10 of my cycle. They were very specific about this due to ensuring I was not pg (fat chance of that happening) and also before ovulation.

Unless I am getting this confused with a diff procedure but I don't think I am. Also I have read and heard several stories that hsg can actually slightly increase your chances of conceiving as it can help to clear your tubes etc. Unfortunately this was not the case for me, but you never know, everyone is different.

I just had my hsg Monday, and as far as I know you're supposed to have it done by day 10 of your cycle, like days 7-10. Mine was cd8. I would call your dr asap and let them know that the timing is a little off. Good luck!

I think it can wash an egg away if it happens to be in the tube at the time of the procedure.

best to have before o'v... i was told I would be more fertile after mine in August.. so far nothing though

Will it mess it up if I get a HSG before I even ovulate but while I am taking Clomid?

It shouldn't. But some drs say not to BD for 72 hours due to risk of infection, mine did. But I've seen on here that other ladies have BD right away.
