HSG.... Really Scared!

Hello Ladies

Well I'm back, and it wasn't bad. I did freak out slightly when I went in the room as the "probe" they put inside you looks like a big vibrator, and they put a condom on it! Very funny. They put your legs in stirrups which must have looked funny but made it more comfortable.

My womb and ovairies are all good, and they said they is no reason why I should not get pregnant.

So now it's OH's turn on 19th May with the urologist, it looks like the swimmers may be what holding us back. I know OH is not going to like that!

I also got my appointment moved from November to August so I'm getting there! They told me to keep trying for an earlier one once OH has had his appointment. If I get a June one I'll be happy.

Does anyone know what the next step is? Ie what actually happens in the follow appointment?

Oh forgot to ask you, when you had your HSG done did it make your AF late?

Well AF isn't due until early next week, but my body hasn't been the same this month as usual. Lots of random bleeding and funny twinges. I think it messes with your cycle a bit. Can't wait for AF to arrive so we can get properly down to it next month! Is yours late?

Yep only by a day but don't think she is coming, it's really weird I feel like I am ovulating, I have ewcm headaches and other things??? I just don't know what to think xx

Glad everything went well spingflower. I have my internal ultra sound on 20 May - not really that botherd about it as it cant be worse than the HSG!! Really pleased that all your bits and pieces are healthy fingers crossed for you. August will come round sooner than you think!

Well witch arrived yesterday Yippee which means I can get back to trying again. We haven't had sex in 4 weeks because of the HSG and then DH having a sperm test .... I am ready to jump his bones!!!

Yomo my period was late this month which I think was due to the HSG. It is also very heavy and a bit different from other months.

Has AF turned up yet? Mine has and was a few days early. I'm glad, the sooner it's here, the sooner it's finished and we can get back to business! I want May to be my month!

Had a lovely lovely time away, even if the weather wasn't great. It was good just to get away and have a break.

Yeah, the ultrasound is fine, just made me laugh when I saw what it was that they put up you, and that it had a condom on it!

Know what you mean about the "trying" am desperate to get on with it as well! OH has a SA this week, once that is over and I've waved goodbye to AF we're getting down to it!

Maybe May can be our month!!

PS - I've ordered some softcups and am considering giving them a go this month, they look really big though. Has anyone tried them?

Also are you girls using anything else? I have a clearblue monitor which I use too, and also preseed (I heard it's helps the swimmers!)

I've heard of the soft cups and if you type it into the search engine there is a whole forum on them. As much as I would love to try them I am far too paranoid that I wont be able to get them out again!

I have been using preseed and conceptionplus from boots. I did use the fertility monitor for the first 8 months but I found it was becoming obsessive what with the temping also so I stopped using it.

May IS DEFINITELY going to be out month. Its my birthday next week and also around the same time as my fertile window so I am hoping I am going to get an extra special present... then again, think i remember saying that last year!

Have to say I'm not too sure about the softcups, but I figure they're worth a go. They look big though and am a bit worried about "positioning" them!

I'm thinking about stopping using my monitor, I don't really need it. After a year I feel I know my cycle inside out! I agree with you about the obessiveness. I find it hard not to get annoyed we can't "do it" on the right day!

Are you still temping? I did it for a month but don't think it really is for me. I always need a wee in the night and noticed if you get up it messes with your temps. After a week of holding on through the night, I'd had enough of it!

If you go onto utube and type in soft cups there is an american woman giving a demo on how to use and position them... obviously not on herself she uses a plastic model!

I dont do anything anymore. I do use fertility friend just to keep an eye on how long my cycles are but that's it. I got really really obsessed about it all and it really was doing me no good. I have kept the monitor just in case but will sell it as soon as I get my BFO which IS going to be this month for us.

Ohh I shall take a look at you tube, can you imagine if it was on herself - eugh! I'm not good with that!

I have a whole draw next to my bed full of baby making things, every so often I get tempted to chuck it all out but I know I'd change my mind and have to buy it all again!

I think it's your bday this week isn't it?! Have a fab time, make sure you celebrate in style!
