I'm 37 (38 later this month), TTC without success for 2+ years, just finished my 4th cycle with clomid, no dice. Anyway, initially my obgyn ordered a HSG, but then when we had the lightbulb moment that it was an iodine contrast, which is the same substance my iodine allergy was detected with, we skipped it and did some ultrasounds instead. Anyway, at this point she wants me to seek help with an infertility specialist.
so what I'm wondering is if anyone here has had an HSG that also has the allergy. The lab said they can pre-medicate for the reaction, and I'm desperate enough at this point to try, so I want to be pre-armed with knowledge when I see the new doctor (which might not be for a month or two, I'm wanting to take a break, though I'm being pressured not to).
