HSG??

How is it I'm having one next week cd11 read some post it can be painful ? Then if my HSG is normal and after bloodwork comes back dr said most likely start clomid next cycle ?

I had 3 in one go!!!! The first was ok, the worst bit was the speculum (just like a smear) the actual dye going in isn't that bad!! My tubes are blocked so Dr kept trying to see if he could get some spillage, had I known I'd have had him stop after first as that was bearable, the second and third attempt really took it out of me. I was brave and went alone but I could have really done with some support after, mainly because I was traumatised at the fact that it appeared to be showing blocked tubes and the several tries! If your lucky enough to just have it done once, you'll be fine, really no worse than a smear. Good Luck. x

hey sweet, had mine in may i had it done on CD 10 i think!
I was scared to have it and wound myself up completely but it wasn't as bad as i expected! not gonna lie and say it didnt hurt at all BUT... it was more uncomfortable than painful! honest hun! glad i had it done and all came bk Clear!

umm as for clomid i have just being diagnosed this week with pcos so have to take metformin for a few months first but all FS/Gynae's hav different approaches i guess xx

Thank u ladies, I had mine done tubes are clear and really the HSG wasn't too bad now I'm cd 14 had it done on cd 11 just waiting for ovulating day ! Cause they say It can make u more fertile
My dr said he doesn't believe metformin will help me cause I do not have insulin restance pcos
So just going to go straight to clomid to help make my cycles shorter 45 days he said isn't ideal.
Stilll waiting for my blood work results tho b4 I can get the clomid.
Hopefully I may not even have to worry about it tho and just get my bfp this month that would be amazing
