Hubby doesn't want to cut the cord

My OH did not want to cut the cord with DD, and I was okay with that. It turned out though that for him, he did not want to cut what attached DD to me, because the cord had to be cut right away though (it was wrapped around her when she came out) he 'trimmed' it lol. He said it was no biggie and will do it again. Don't give up ladies, your man may surprise you yet!!

I'm sorry if i am repeating anyone i haven't read the whole thread but in some instances the baby is whipped away so quickly the partner doesn't get a chance to cut the cord- my hubby didn't as my sons shoulders were stuck and they whisked him away to check him over - he's not sure he wants to this time round either. He still had an active part supporting me in the labour and couldn't love our son more so i don't think he feels he missed anything.

My Oh is also squeamish so i was quite surprised when he said he does plan to cut it. I guess we'll see when the time actually comes i just hope he doesn't pass out

Exactly what I would have said about my OH! he wouldn't stay in the room when I had to have a cervical exam the other day lol x
