Hi i'm feeling so lazy and yucky and feel a huge need to attempt to tone up, i love my bump but i do need to tone up - I was just wondering if anyone knows if its safe to hoop during pregnancy? I did it a little before but im no pro. ALso i desperately want to work on my thighs any suggestions ??

Oh and one more thing, I have a layer of fat over my bump - is there any way I can work on this too??? Thanks all!!

pregnancy is not the time to tone up hun that layer of fat is your body's stores to provide your baby and you with what you need

I guess although this is my 3rd baby and I didnt have that layer before with either of my boys.. I think its due to having had the other two though so I may never lose it.. I just want to try my best to stay as fit as I can so that I dont get down after my little girl is here.. as vain as it sounds and even kinda shallow, if I feel fat and frumpy after I know it will make me feel low.. but maybe i need to go easy on myself like you say xxx

Do sum walking hun. Tones u up, Gets yr blood pumping n the fresh air does u good 2.xx

I agree with Morgi :)

Just try to keep active gently and it will make you feel better also drink lots of water to help reduce water retention which can make you feel fat xx

If you feel lazy, do some gentle exercises such as walking or swimming. It will make you feel better about yourself but you definitely shouldn't be aiming to lose lots of weight or getting super toned while you are pregnant. You can do that when baby arrives

A flash mob of Hula hoopers take over a busy Toronto intersection for a great cause. Swiss

I used to hula hoop to keep fit every day before I got pregnant and I really miss it but I've stopped for now until I've had the baby just because I didnt know whether it would be safe or not, and decided it was better to be safe than sorry. Cant wait to pick it up again though I've got my hula hoops sitting waiting for me! xxx

yes it's safe to hoop during pregnancy.. you can youtube all kinds of videos about it, and you can actually buy a pregnancy hoop on hoopnotica. hula dancing is a mild workout that if done correctly won't harm you or the baby!
GL!
