Huntleigh Doppler ?

Hi.

I was just given a Huntleigh FD1 Dopplex Fetal Doppler by someone.

I am really confused, I put it over my own heart and it said my heart rate is 200bmp !!! Could it be because I'm not using the correct gel ? I'm using moisturizer.

Anyone have any experiences with this type of doppler ?

I put my sonoline b over my heart the other day and it also said mine was close to 200. I think because they aren't meant to listen to such "big hearts" they have issues. I believe it was counting the second beat as well as the first, if that makes sense, basically doubling my actual heart rate.
