He bought our not even born yet daughter a $200 frog to hang on her wall. It's ceramic coated bronze and if she chucks a ball or something at it when she's old enough to throw one, it will break. He told me he had bought something for her room for Xmas.. I thought maybe a chair, table, something practical? Nope. A frog. If this is the first Xmas and she isn't even here, what is he going to do next Xmas?!!

:laugh2: Lmao!!! I'm sorry, daddy's lil girl will be spoiled!! The frog would be going back tho. 200$?? Ugh!!

I think thats absolutely adorable!
Froggy will just have to go away for a bit when shes older lol

Yeah.. it hasn't shipped yet so I explained how unpractical it was.. he called the company to cancel the order. Hopefully it isn't too late. I showed him some also very nice frogs at a MUCH lower price that would be more practical. He's willing to compromise. He's a little disappointed... but will get over it. We are putting birch tree decals on the walls so it will look cute.. but a $20 frog works just as well as a $200 frog. This little girl is sooo going to have daddy wrapped around her finger!!

Misscalais-It is cute and sweet, and I made sure to tell him that too!! But we have so many other necessities that we need to get and babies are expensive!!

Lol! That is Precious! Haha can't get over it. Men and children.. Def have things in common! So sweet though!!

Wow. Sounds like your nesting hormones are rubbing off on him. Too cute though. But for two hundred dollars I would want a beautiful new rocker glider chair for the nursery. Or six cases of diapers at Costco.

Exactly Sara! I am the more practical one in this relationship. I hate being that person sometimes but one of us has to do it!

I hear that. I just bought my husband's Christmas present. I bought him a keyboard as in at the age of 35 he wants to learn to play the piano because he wants to teach little man. I am all for music lessons it was kinda my idea but I thought I would find a teacher at the university a few miles away.

But I mentioned how kids who are involved in music have better test scores and how much we both wish we were A. Bilingual and B. Had been forced to learn an instrument. he decided that means he has to be the one to teach him. It's fine though. The keyboard came with headphones. And then we will have one when the baby is old enough, for an actual piano player to teach him.... it's hard not to love the enthusiasm and optimism though.
