Husband just fed baby day old formula!!

My husband is putting our baby to sleep and we usually top him up with a couple ounces of formula before bed. I already gave him the formula but I guess my husband thought there was leftovers and since lo is being fussy he decided to give him some more. Well the bottle he gave him was from last night!! It was accudentally left on the night stand. There was only about an ounce in it but when I saw what he was giving him I snatched it from his hand and smelled it. It smelled like sour milk.
Has this ever happened to any of you? Is my baby going to get sick? Poor thing, I can't believe he was happily drinking such rotten stuff!!

i have done it by accident in the middle of the night........i felt HORRIBLE but my
LO was ok....

yes, my husband tried to feed my poor LO spoiled breastmilk- gross! she wouldn't eat it until finally i tasted it and it was bad. don't worry she was fine, your LO should be okay. He also did this with formula, it was too old and she did okay with that too.

I jut realized it wasn't from last night because we didn't give him formula last night it's from TWO nights ago!!
I feel so bad, i can't believe I didn't bring that bottle into the kitchen!!


That's good to hear that I'm not the only one that's done this though and your lo's were all ok

two nights ago is a while. i would just monitor him extra closely, he will most likely be fine.

My fiance gave our babes formula from about a day before.. I did exactly the same as you, and kept an eye on him, he was fine.. but if you think there may be something wrong, i'd defiantly see your doc just to be on the safe side xx
