Hi all,

I'm just out of hospital after my first I've fluids/antiemetics of this pregnancy and I'm feeling pretty awful! I'm now on metoclopromide and stemetil (buccastem) alternated every 4 hours which is really helping with the sickness but wow do I feel tired! It's very difficult coping with 2 children feeling like this :nope:

Just after support I guess xxx

I should say I was really bad in my other pregnancies too xxx

Hi hun!
A fellow hypermesis sufferer here although I have not been sick now in 8 weeks!

Its awful I know but its going to be worth it! I kept telling myself that all the time when I was sick.
I have been in hosp 3 times this pregnancy.
I ended up in ICU 8 weeks ago due to being so dehydrated and lacking in potassium which caused me to have a fit.

I am totally here if you need to talk
xx

Thank you for the replies! I am just home from my second 2 night stay in hospital for fluids etc. I'm praying this ends soon - I'm too exhausted to even get out of bed right now :( xxx

Hiya,

I know how you feel its horrible i had it quite bad from 6w to 18w but mine is loads better now ive only had one day since 18w when i was sick 3 times which is sooo much better than 20+ times a day!!
I still take metroclopromide cos im too scared to stop taking it as ive been in hospital 5 times and ive had enough of hospital now!!

It does get better but i still get nausea everyday but i can get off my sofa and live my life so im ok with that!

You could try lucazade for the tiredness i think its ok to drink during pregnancy and it helped a bit with my sickness for some reason maybe not more than 2 bottles a day tho! :)

I really help yours gets better soon its so horrible and depressing!! :)

Hi, i had hyperemesis all the way through when i was pregnant with my daughter.
This pregnancy i am still suffering with it but it isn't as bad now i'm past 16 weeks, but very difficult to look after my daughter while feeling sick and tired all the time. Hope it eases for you. No one really understands unless they've had it.

Thinking of you ladies, and yes, nobody understands unless they' ve been there. I remember actually being glad when my husband got gastro while I was pregnant and vomited for three days,...just so he can learn to empathise the tiniest bit, lol.
