I cant believe this :(

My partner got made redundent in march so he had to sign on whilst im only working 12.5 hours a week and get 90 pound a week, because it had been so many months my partner had been signing on they had to switch him over to something else but accidently cancelled it and had to make the decision again which has took 5 weeks today they finally made a decision and said he will get 1 pound a week wtf ? i only get 90 pounds a week and 40 pounds a week child tax how the hell are we suppose to live on that he used to get 120 every 2 weeks on the dole i dont understand why he cant have it nothing has changed, wev been having to pay half are rent and 60 pound council tax a month too but surely the benefits will pay that now . Im so fed up i really dont understand how they work this out


Anyone else work part time with a child and there partner doesnt work, what do you get ? x

i'm not in your situation but will be in the near future, have you done the online calculator for child tax to see if your entitled to anymore from them or have you asked them? £40 a week doesn't sound a lot. I would def think you will get full rent and council tax paid now also, i hope you get it sorted very soon x

hiya Thanks, i done a calculation earlier but it gave me it over a year so need to get my forms out and see what it is for our year at the moment, my partner has phoned them today so they will update it andlet us know if its changed and hes going to the rent office tomoz about housing and council tax benefits x
