....and bought PreSeed yesterday. I felt sick when I had to pay over $20 for a little tube of something that 1. I don't even need and 2. isn't a guarantee but nothing ever is. I am hoping that since the first time we used Softcups I got pregnant that the first time we use PreSeed it will have the same affect.

Question: how do you, personally, use it? I don't mean instruction wise cause I get that. I don't need lube at all. Never have an issue with that. I am not a fan of it either, neither is my husband. I thought about just putting some in the softcup before putting it in but is that enough? If I must put some inside how much would you recommend?

I am also using cough syrup again this month so I am saying I should be pretty sperm friendly :haha:

No clue really but I think I'm going to get some for this month too.. (If I have to :( ) It's seriously 20 dollars?..Seems a bit much.
Hmmm.. I'd be interested to hear how to use as well!

Well I bought mine at Walgreens, may be cheaper online but I think its about the same everywhere.

yeah if you don't want to actually put it in just squirt some in a softcup and you're good to go! Good luck!

we use preseed and love it! i'd say since you dont really need it, to just put it in the softcup after bd. i use around 1 1/2 - 2 but i'd say also since you're putting it in the softcup you probably dont need that much. good luck! :dust:

I actually heard that it doesn't work as well in the softcup after BD. The point of it is to coat your vaginal walls and cervix to not only help the sperm swim through, but also to help more sperm live through the acidic vagina.

I used preseed last month, but I switched to conceive plus this month. It's the same price, you're getting what seems like triple the amount of lube, and preseed kills a tiny bit of sperm and conceive plus doesn't. I have heard that preseed doesn't kill enough to matter though, but it's worth the switch for the amount you get out of the bottle.

A friend of mine told me that during an interview with the lady who invented preseed, she said that most women use it wrong. The instructions say to fill it up to the 3 line, but women complain that it's too slippery for the men. I had the same complaint. The inventor of preseed says you're supposed to fill it to the 3, insert it into your vagina about 30 minutes before BD, and then before BD sit over the toilet and let all the extra fluid drip out. This will coat your entire vagina/cervix and make it more sperm friendly.

I tried this for the first time the other night, with conceive plus, but I used the preseed applicators that I had leftover from last month. It was a little difficult to use preseed applicators with conceive plus bottle. The first time I used preseed and filled it to the 3, DH had trouble finishing and said it was too slippery. So I was worried about doing it to the 3 again, but I did it anyway. When I sat over the toilet, it didn't really "drip" for me so used TP and wiped the outside of my vagina and a lot of extra came out on the TP.

So, we BDed and DH finished in about 10 minutes and then apologized lol. Afterward, I said, "So what did you think about the lube tonight?"

His response????

"What lube?"

Me -----> :shock: :happydance:

I didn't want to give false info about the amt I said in the post above in each bottle, so I actually just checked since I have both bottles at home.

Preseed: 40 gm. I converted, it's 1.41 fl. oz. Price at amazon: $19.50
https://www.amazon.com/Pre~Seed-PSM...ef=sr_1_3?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1321167244&sr=1-3

Conceive plus: 2.5 fl. oz. Price at amazon: $19.50
https://www.amazon.com/Conceive-Fer...ef=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1321167244&sr=1-1

Hope some of this info is helpful!!

I don't like the insert 30 mins beforehand thing. I don't know when we will be having sex and certainly won't know 30 mins before. Trying to still keep it spontaneous or else someone can't perform :(

That was REALLY imformatiive! Thank you!!

Spermies are sensitive to temperature......I know this as we are dairy farmers and me and hubby artificially inseminate are cows and its a whole effort to keep the sperm at the adequate temperature.........(considering AI'ing myself at times!!!! :-)

Because of this I wouldnt put cold preseed in a softcup and then insert as it might stun/kill sperm.....the preseed should go in first before sex so that it can warm up to body temperature during sex....and then the softcup. Hope this helps too x

Wouldn't it already be warm though since its winter and in a heated room? It would be at least room temperature which wouldn't be cold.

I probably already said this but I put conceive plus in and put some in a soft cup. I put it in the softcup before we even bd so it'll be whatever temp the room is. My conceive plus is always cold once when it first comes out of the tube.

Needs to be around our body temp 37oC or 97-98oF.......room temperature is around 18-20oC . Also a man has to keep his sperm sample warm for analysis also, which indicates they need a constant temperature xx
