My hubby and I came up with a compromise, I would stay off birth control and leave him in charge of contraception. I was on birth control for about 7 years so I said to him that I wanted a baby and that I did not want to go back onto birth control (I initially went of before I knew I had celiac disease as we thought it was the birth control giving me stomach aches). He did not want to go through all the stress of trying. So we agreed that he would be in charge of the contraception and we are now using condoms when he chooses. Does this mean we are now; not trying but not preventing?

Using condoms is still a form if prevention.

Though you say you use them 'when he chooses' does this mean that there are times you don't use anything? If so then THAT is not trying not preventing.

Hope that clears things up.
