I had my laparoscopy yesterday.....

hi....well i went and saw my fs today as my doc suspects that i have endometriosis.....my fs said that there was no need to do a laparoscopy as ive had a hycosy which showed my tube was clear and my scans didnt show anything up. i said would the scans def if there was spmething up and she said not always but i dont think u need this done....and gave me another 3 mths of clomid!!! i just wanted to cry, just dont feel like she is listening properly at all....

my doc said that the lower back pain from 17 dpo up til af arrives & spotting brown/black from 4 days b4 af is due are strong indicators that i may have endometriosis.....i explained this to my fs and she asked if i ever have painful intercourse, i said yes sometimes it does hurt, she seemed to shrug it off and said well the erosion testing u had done in the summer showed a healthy cervix so dont worry. I feel like she is parming me off with more pills....she said i wll see u in 3 mths time and sent me packing!!

when were u refered to have a lap? what symptoms did u have? we have been ttc for 17 mths now and im so desperate to have baby number 2 and feels like it may never happen! i didnt have this awful bad low pain and spotting when i conceived my daughter 4 & a half years ago so im sure somethings up! ive looked into paying privately but its £3000!! xx

i ahd basically similar sypmtoms to you. I wnet for my 1st app, doc did a scan and said my lining was too thin and i should have a lap. i have no symptoms, sometimes painful sex byut thats it.
My lap was 2 weeks later and thats when i was told i had endo..

it would be good for you to have a lap as they ca remove the endo whilst they are there but i guess it depends on how bad it is..

are you sure its £3000, its normally about 300 tops..

I had a lap performed last Friday (3 days ago). Doctor said both tubes were blocked at the beginning of the tubes. He said he couldn't get any dye to go through them. He also said my uterus had several varicrose veins on it. He is scheduling me for an HSG, but isn't that backwards. I am trying to figure out what the HSG is going to tell me that the lap didn't already tell us. I don't want to get my hopes up that the HSG is going to bring me any good news about my tubes.

How did you know you had endo? Are there any symptoms? I've been TTC for several months now and am wondering if this might be my problem b/c my cycles are regular, 28 days, I ovulate every month. A few years ago, I went to the doctor because I had a slight dull ache on my left side and they said it was a cyst on my ovary but it was no cause for concern because a lot of people have this.
How did you know you had endo?

i did not have any symptoms, i went to see a gyna by chance , he did an ultrasound and then suggested a lap..i was shocked to say the least ...all these years and no symptoms!

dancing katy... im looking at a price list for a IVF clinic im going to , the lap there is £522. So how about you try a local IVf clinic rather than bupa or something and see if thats cheaper. How the hell can anyone afford 3000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats mad

its mad that u had no symptoms but was still refered 4 a lap....i have symptoms & my stupid fs wont refer me!! have managed to get an appointment with a laparoscopy speacialist on 21st dec at a private health care center near me ( the place where its £3000!!)....if they say i should have the lap then i will go bk & see my fs & demand a lap on nhs......my ivf center near me d not do laps, they only do hycosys which ive had done & all was clear. Im wondering if anyone knows where else i could get a lap done for cheaper near essex??? xx
