Every month about a week before my period is due my emotions go into overdrive and makes me feel utter rubbish.

I get upset and cry and feel down about the most minor things.
I hate it. anyone else how do you deal with this?
sometimes it makes me push people away when I feel like this.

I'm going through this at the moment.

I have just had baby number 3, I have hypothyroidism and am medicated for that, and I went back on the pill 4 weeks PP as I've already had 2 'whoopsie' babies and don't fancy another, at least not quite yet .

I have been having terrible PMT, awful mood swings mid-month, acne and hives, my hair is awful and I am losing weight like buggery due to nervousness, insomnia and my taste-buds being completely screwed up!

I went to my Dr to ask what I could do. I have done some research and it would suggest that it's my pill reacting badly with my thyroid medication. I proposed this to my Dr who dismissed me completely with 'it's your age dear!' (I'm 30 btw!) and 'these things happen when you've had babies!'. I was surprised as I happen to know that this particular Dr has 4 children herself so for her to dismiss me quite so out of hand was shocking.

I'm totally beside myself with what to do to be honest. hubby and I have decided to take me off the pill (his responsibility now lol) and see if that makes a difference. I've been so bad this past 48 hours, I've gotten so worked up I just can't go on like this! :nope:

It could well be a combo of the pill and recently had a baby that's messing with your hormoans.

that is why I hate seeing the doctors and rarely go for myself because most of the time your wasting your time and things just get dismissed.

Could well be, either way we'll find out soon enough. They've been binned! :-D

It really sucks as I said to my hubby today if I'd gone in to see them to discuss it again feeling like I did this morning they'd have tried to re-medicate me on my old anti-depressants I think, but this is different.

Hope you start to feel better soon hun. I hate it, and mine only lasts 2-3 days at a time. Can only imagine what it must be like for a whole week! :hugs:

Yeah I always know when its due cos a week before I get like this and it settles when my period starts. so even though I feel ok head wise I don't body wise lol.

how old is your youngest?

6 months on the 17th, so still very little.

I tend to get 2-3 days mid-month (now) when I think my body is fighting it trying to OV, then another 2-3 days when i'm due to bleed, but I've been getting irregular bleeding too so been getting bouts just whenever and wherever it feels like it. :growlmad:

It's almost like my body WANTS to make babies!
