Im sure it cant be healthy to really hate your job!! But i really do!! POSSIBLE LONG THREAD, ILL TRY KEEP IT SHORT!!
i worked in a letting agent with my mum & my grandad's OH, doing a apprenticeship. grandad's OH left, so was just me and my mum, i loved it, work was dead quiet never nothing to do, boss hardly ever came in, but i spent time with my mum and that's all i liked! The business was in shit quite bad with money, as boss was hardly ever in, he didn't really know, nor was he ever involved in anything..
Boss then sold up, new owners came in, my mum went out i stayed in.
anyway, all was well, i found things to do etc, after a few weeks one Friday they was discussing money, said they couldn't pay me (of corse they had to and eventually did) then 45 mins before my finish time they told me not to return on Monday they cant afford to pay me! they said they would bring me back after a few weeks, obv i knew this was BS!!
anyway there i was, left unemployed, couldn't receive benefits for a few reasons - lack of written notice, no p45 etc.
After a few weeks, the guy that worked up stairs in the same office came into partnership with the guy who owned the business next door, he then took me on to manage his properties, he told me they would both split my wage, when i sign tenants up id receive half of the admin fees we charge cos id be doing the signing up etc..
Anyway, business is quiet, never anything to do all i do is sit in the office dealing with customers, file things away (which is nothing) i dont deal with anything financial only collecting rent, so i have no invoices/statements to do. at the end of the day its a job, and a wage. i recently turned 21 (may have seen my prev. post on this) and my wage should have been upped, i was told no, we cant afford to pay u more, and theres no point changing your hours cos u will be leaving for mat leave soon.. baring in mind the other guy doesnt pay half of my wage like planned, infact he pays me naff all and i take messages for him etc. anyway in the end my hours got cut by one hour a day, i really wanted a day off but beggars cant be choosers!!
anyway the main thing that really pees me off is i sit down stairs in the office with the owner of the office (who is asian) and most of the time his brother is here too.
I constantly have to listen to them speaking in their language, not always to each other, but on the phone, on facetime to customers. i just think ts really rude!! im not racist but please.. we are in England, where we speak English, and there is a English speaking employee sat right there, i just think its so rude to talk in a different language at work.. i really cant cope, when u are hormonal and little things annoy you it can get very irritating sat here listening to it i really feel like im going to explode!! i cant wait to take mat leave but i know for a fact i wont want to return, u see im only taking a few months as i cant afford more. i know im not going to want to sit in a office, hating every minute, when i could be at home, with my baby, enjoying every minute!!!!
