I have a theory about gender....

So I've had two pregnancies, resulting in three boys. My previous pregnancies were much easier in the first trimester (some tiredness, sore boobs, hunger a little neasea) and very similar. One other thing they both had in common other than symptoms was that my sex drive went through the roof.

This pregnancy, I feel sooooo unwell. Headaches, more neaseaus, dizziness, shivers, exhaustion. The other thing different is that I'm very very emotional (I'll cry about anything!) and I have zero sex drive (since I got my BFP 6 weeks ago, we attempted to dtd once which I stopped halfway through!). So my theory is this: could it be that high sex drive and less symptoms means boy due to mother-to-be having testosterone in her body due to growing a boy, whereas more symptoms, more emotions ( the tears and upsets) and lack of sex drive equals girl as we have the extra oestrogen in our body as we're growing a girl??!! Just a thought.... What do you ladies think?

With my son i very much had an easy run of things, never had to miss a day off work and always wanted the nookie nookie lol

this pregnancy im feeling hunger over all the time, tired and lazy, ill and sex is a no-no ! dont know the gender of this baby yet but im thinking girl!

I think it's very individual to each woman - some woman who have girls then boys would say the opposite to you. I just think if you have wildly differing symptoms (regardless of what they are) in seperate pregnancies, the chances of baby being a different gender are higher

Well if my theory is correct then I'd say girl! Lol. Like you said, time will tell.

I already think I'm having a girl. No idea why, it's just a feeling I have. My Mum seems to think so too.

My sex drive is pretty much the same as normal (want it often,lol!) but I haven't really had any sickness yet, although I'm fully expecting it to come!

My first two pregnancies i had really bad 'whole day sickness' til 21weeks, fainting and a high sex drive. Both girls.
This time all I have is very little nausea and a few aches and pains. At 10 weeks it has almost gone, whereas with the girls I would be retching my guts out! I hope this means it's a boy

Your second paragraph exactly describes how I felt being pregnant with my SON! I think it just varies from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy.

My colleague had completely different symptoms with her second pregnancy and was certain she was having a girl to follow her son. She had another boy.

My BF had identical symptoms with both pregnancies - 1 boy, 1 girl.

Last time I had: all day nausea from 5w4d, sore boobs until 5 weeks, exhaustion all the way through, carpal tunnel syndrome from 20 weeks, snoring from 14 weeks, emotional from 5 weeks, high sex drive.

So far this time I have the same nausea, no sore breasts at all and I'm not tired or emotional. Not sure how I feel about sex! I am so sure I am having another boy, just a gut feeling.

Ive got 2 boys also... and i had a pretty plain sailing Pregnancy with both of them!..

This time, i feel sooooooooo Hungry all the time!!! Sex drive Hmmm its there, but i lack the energy lol... Im sooo tired, very Gassy!!! i never had this with my boys.

One thing ive noticed which i hadnt had with my boys is My boobs were swollen and painful from 7DPO till only just the other day there started to feel softer and squidgey although still hurting!!!

also with my boys i was convinced i was having a Girl both times, and obviously i was Wrong... this time im certain its another boy.. So could i be wrong??

My boobs were massive with the boys. This time, they haven't really got bigger, just a little sore. With the boys, I knew they were boys. I always knew I'd have three boys. This time round, I'm getting girl vibes. I just can't pictiure this baby as a boy. It's not because I don't want a boy(I'd love a little girl, but another boy would also be very mcuh welcome) i just imagine it as a boy. With the boys my gut instint was right, so we'll see this time round. I don't want to get my hopes up though cos I just don't think we can 'make' girls, so although I'm thinking girl, I can't truly believe it.

I had just about the exact same symptoms and everything with both my previous pregnancies, and I have a boy and a girl. There would be no way for me to differentiate between the two thinking back. This time though my pregnancy is different. So Im at a loss, no idea what this one could be lol.

From others experience around me your pregnancy symptoms vary with the gender... I know women who were extremely sick their boys from their first trimester until they delivered and once the got prego with a girl the total opposite. I also know women who have been prego with girls and were really sick then when they got their boys the felt the total opposite.. I said all that to say yes I believe that theory I was never this sick with any of my boys my OB actually prescribed me meds to take for the nausea it's that bad. I totally believe this is a girl

Then this would mean I'm having another boy.... To be fair with my first I felt sick until he was born, I was only sick about 4 times but felt sick every day, never ate anything cause I felt ill, wasn't tired all the time, sore boobs for two weeks and I cried every day over something petty.

With my second it was the opposite - was sick once but the rest of the time I was fine, hungry all through first tri, no sore boobs, never cried and I was convinced he was a girl as it was so different... and he is def a boy!

This time my boobs are STILL sore, I cry over anything, I'm hungry constantly, I feel sick but am not sick (apart from once so far), my looks have gone to pot but I'm carrying all out front at the moment... so what is this baby? Half boy.... half girl?

I dunno I like that theory but I don't necessarily think it can be applied to predicting gender. We will all see soon!

Oh... and on the boob topic - with both boys my boobs never changed size..... this time they're a lot fuller and rounder.... and my nipples have suddenly got huge! So, this would mean I was having a girl?
