I Have Mild Endo!

Hi Ladies,

I had my lap on Friday - still feeling sore!

I was told i have mild endo, Im still in a bit of shock as they didnt tell me anything else. what do i expect now? i have a follow up in 4 weeks but i dont think i can wait that long!

Did they get rid of it when you had the lap? Just asking as when I had mine they said if there was anything like that going on they would see and treat rather than do another op later on. Hopefully they will give you a bit more info in 4 weeks. Hope you feel less sore soon - mints can help with the gas escaping! x

Thankyou Carebear, Yeah they got id of what they could see! I just wish i know what to do, i havent took the plasters off the wounds yet - dont like freaky stuff like that!!

The shoulder pain was AWFUL!! Worse than the actual stomach pains!

Anything you would recommend recovery wise?

Rest and sleep! A hot wheaty bag can help with the stomach pain and as I said mints can help with the shoulder aching with the gas releasing. I was kind of lucky and threw up a couple of times a bit after having the op (lol) which got rid of a load of gas so I only had mild aches in my shoulders but my stomach definietly hurt so hot water bottle/wheaty bag and not moving. If you cough hold your stomach as its the muscles being moved about that hurts. I also got some fast healing plasters from boots for my wounds about 4/5 days after the op and they healed them up really quick I wish I'd got them earlier. Glad they got rid of the endo, might just be the improvement you needed for a BFP x

The shoulder pain has gone! thank god! iv been drinkin peppermint water which helped alot!

I think its just really unreal at the moment - people were telling me it takes years to discover endo - me, it took me a year and im only 20!

Hopefully it will clear all the nasty periods up! thats main thing at the moment, then try for a family.

claire_love, i too was told after the lap and d&c that i have mild endo (stage1) ... scared the crap out of me. i have to say however that my periods are worse now: clots like crazy day 2 and then it's pretty much done - so i guess in a way its ok.

i can say that this will be our "real" first time trying after the op ... i hope it is positive!!!

good luck and don't let it disappoint you!!! ask for any support they can offer.
