And want to curl up in a ball and cry. Its such a freakin mess. There are enough toys to rival toys r us, just everywhere. Christmas hampers still sat out, clothes, about 7 blankets, no idea why we need so many down we usualy only use one.
Its not just the living room. I've got a mountain of laundry , I kid you not its a mountain. A mountain of clothes to put away, plus a corner in my bedroom is dedicated to clothes that need donating.
Its all such a mess. I need to organise it and I really want to have a clear out and get back to basics with stuff. We have no need for so much junk.
Its just I'm so bad at cleaning. I'm really lazy. I just need to find somewhere to start, our 3 year old doesn't understand how to tidy up after himself and I'm ashamed I haven't taught him. He just gets all his toys out and then gets overwhelmed and crys.
I realy have no excuse since im home allday. I just struggle to get motivated to clean. oh is so good at it but its not his job to do it all.
I just needed to get that out. I really hope I'm not the only one, who hates the mess buthates ccleabing .

Just thought I would admit that on the internet for the whole world to know.
No point to this really unless anyone has any tips on how/ where to start. Or someone wants to come clear my house out for me.

I feel your pain. I have stashed the laundry in baskets in my husbands office, but it still needs to be folded and put away. There are toys everywhere, I don't even know where we are going to store them.

I wish I had tips to help :nope:

I tidied mine and its awful again so your not alone. My laundry pile is about 5ft high x

I feel your pain. I just did like 5 loads of laundry last night, which I hate doing...Our living room also looked like a bomb went off with all the toys, so I finally dealt with that too, since we are having people over tonight for New Years. The motivation to clean is severely lacking...I hate cleaning. I just had to make myself. I turned on some music, and just did it til I was sick of it. I still have some stuff to put away today before people come over, but it looks way better already.

I would suggest just starting with one room. Do one room a day. Although once you get started you will be surprised at how much you can accomplish. You can do laundry as you clean, and be sure to fold and put it away right away.

Can I join the club? The washing im kind of on top of but I never bother ironing as DH wears the un-ironed lot anyway :dohh:

I also hate cleaning and can never find the motivation. I ALWAYS have lo with me and he just empties what I put away.

I'm so glad I'm not alone. DS is back at school next week so we can get cracking. But we still have the baby so its hard for us both to get on with it. I try to put away laundry while OH baths the kids, gives me about 10 Mins to get a bit away. It takes about 3 days to dry 1 load so its a nightmare. I need a skip so I can just throw stuff out. I swear my kids grow out of clothes way to quick. In the 10 mins before have guests we get more cleaning done than we do in a week. I need to invest in some storage boxes for the kids toys. I think I'm going to make a bunch of lists tonight.

If you're not using it, get rid!!! I am ruthless. My hubby is a hoarder and I have to be even more ruthless to counteract him. Plus some people are really having a hard time and I've donated things to charity/ baby things to women's shelters and they have really appreciated it. Or if it's rubbish, throw it away/ recycle!
I could come and help!! I love this kind of job.

I'm a naturally untidy person, but the state of my house atm embarrasses me!! I spent 90 mins cleaning the kitchen while DD and SD watched frozen, then spent about an hour wresting them both trying to get them to sleep. Was supposed to tackle the living room and my bedroom too, but have a feeling they'll wake up soon, and I have to go pick up OH from work soon. Trying to clean up toys with toddlers around is like trying to dry yourself off stood in the shower!!

Perfect description.

I wish I could post some pics of what my place looks like but im too embarrased, my issue is that im a hoarder and something might have a use 'one day'
Thats why OH has over 50 pairs of socks or why I still have clothes from my school days. You just never know when that 10 year old dress might come in handy. Omg I think the only way il get out of this mess is if I move not even kidding

Oh man, you have got to start pitching stuff. If you haven't used it/worn it in over a year, get rid of it. You'd wear it often if you truly loved it.

ETA: easier to say than do, I know, though. My DH is a hoarder too, and I can't talk him into getting rid of high school crap he hasn't used/looked at in over 10 years. I'm pretty ruthless with my own stuff. I wouldn't have space otherwise.

Yup I have a load of " might come handy someday" junk. I've goclothes from before I had DS that I'm going to get back into. I mean who am I kidding, I'd be lucky to get half a boob into it.

Shall we start a club. And see uf we cant help each other de clutter?! I started a thread a while ago but list motivation on like day 2. I might try another 30 day cleaning challenge. Need to win tge euros and get a live in cleaner.

List stuff on FB selling sites:) It makes me feel better getting rid of stuff when I get money for it:thumbup: I have gotten rid of so much crap on FB selling sites. One man's junk is another man's treasure, right?

This is the reason I'm keeping the teeny dog house, once the kids are bigger we want another dog, and the house is beautiful. I know I won't find another in the future. Lol

What can we call our club? I could do with a serious kick up the ass.

I'll join your club! We're having my in laws round tomorrow for new years dinner and my living room has Lego all over the floor and clutter occupying two chairs. Must get my finger out and get this tidied or else I'll be running about like a headless chicken tomorrow!

You crack me up! Get rid of the hamster cages would you ever really need 3 anyway?

I am currently in a major clean up/sort out/de clutter of my house. I think it will take me until approximately May to finish because my time to do it is limited and there is just so fecking much!

I cleared two drawers of a cabinet downstairs today, that plus my usual day to day clean up is all I achieved!

I did spend a good few house organising my daughters toys into 'types' for easier storage. I love a good clear out thought. Definitely not a hoader but I am quite sentimental so I have kept things like my daughters first birthday cards and about a million pay slips I will probably never need!

I do have a couple of 'monica' cupboards but if its behind closed doors its ok by me!
