I need some answers!

So I got AF for August but it was 3 weeks late. It came the week before I was due for AF in September. I don't exactly know what to expect. Will I be getting another period next week? Will this be my period for September. I have an appt October 4 but I really can't wait that long for answers, Can anyone help? Please!!!
