Okay, So I'm 19 years old. I live on my own and I've been in a relationship for 3 years with my boyfriend. We want babies, just NOT right now. If we happened to slip up, we wouldn't be mad. We would just take it as god sent us a baby right now. SOOO, I've had lots of scares before, yet none like this one.

I know that the only person that can really tell me if I'm pregnant or not is a doctor, But I went to a chat the other day to get some advice from some pregnant women, and they just made fun of me. So i'm hoping to get some help here.

Now, I do not have periods regularly. Maybe twice a year, so it's hard sometimes to know whats going on. So that is canceled out as a sign. Yet, I have thrown up a few times in the morning. Not every morning, just a few times, and sometimes when I smell certain things I want to gag. There are times when I want to throw up, but never do. Seems like standing up makes it feel better. It's also difficult to lay on my stomach. I talked to a few pregnant people and they said you would know when something is moving in there, but sometimes it feels like something is sitting on my lungs or pushing on them, and I have little flutters in my side from time to time. I took a cheap dollar store test but it said neg. and I have no insurance, so doc. isn't an option.

my biggest thing is, I'm around a size 22 so I'm a hefty girl, so it will be hard to tell if I gain any weight or start to shape.

I don't really want to talk to my friends about any of this because they just wouldn't understand. So please... any advice would be greatly app. I really need some help!!!

    hi honey,

Do you have Plan Parenthood in your area? They can test you for free, you don't need insurance.

My friend that is pregnant went to a place around here that will do it for free. It's just, I don't want to look silly by going there and not be pregnant. I think I'm just mostly scared. My boyfriend thinks we should wait a little bit to see if things progress before we go there.

There is no reason to feel silly. For your own health it would be good just to go and find out.

A lot of the symptoms youve described can be early pregnancy symptoms, but they can also be symptoms of many others things. Sometimes when your thinking about something so hard you tend to "spot" things that you wouldnt even normally notice.

I would suggest waiting a few more days, take another test and go from there.

If you only wait a week or so the level of your HCG will be high enough for a test to pick it up.
They're as accurate as the doctor ones.

Have you ever considered going to a specialist to see why your periods are so unregular?

Hun all you can do is buy a branded home pregnancy test, they seem to work alot better than cheapies. Re-test in a few days, If its still negative then re-test again in a week or so.
Im a bit concerned as you said you cant go to the doctors because of insurance. If you are pregnant then you are going to need to be in contact with a doctor as he will put you threw to a midwife to monitor you and your baby threw out your pregnancy and labour.

Thank you so much for everyones help! This is more than enough advice. I need as much as I can get. I'm going to wait a week then buy a expensive test. If it's still neg, and I still have symptoms, then I'm going to go to the clinic.

If I do find out i'm pregnant, my job will give me free pregnant insurance only while i'm pregnant and 4 months after the baby is born.

And yes, I have seem a specialist about my periods and they just said it could be cause i'm a little over weight, it only started happening after I started having sex.

Thank you so much for everyones help. I am going to take another test at the end of the week and see what it says.

I would also like to add that I wasn't aware that you needed to wait a few minutes for the test to develop all the way. I thought you just wait for the line and thats the answer. I didn't know there could possibly be a faint line.

Well, I will know when I take the 2nd one.

Does anyone think that since I don't have a regular period I could have some trouble getting pregnant?

    just a thought?
