is there ANY way i can get any help with my deposit for my flat.
seriously how do they expect us to just have £800??
waiting for all my benefits to be processed STILL.

i dunno but if u figure out a way to financial help give me a shout...
i've just spent the last hour cryin over the fact that i can't support myself let alone a baby as well...
i think i'm jus bein too hard on myself at the minute but i'm freakin out!!
where are u livin at the moment?

When you get your benifits sorted, have a look on the internet for crisis loans in your area. If your on a qualifying benifit you might be able to get something from the departement for work and pension (DWP) or from your local council. Good luck hun, hope you can get some help xx

I think if you go and speak to someone from the housing or citizens advice etc you can get help towards a deposit not 100% sure though! It was the one thing putting me off private renting (im now a housing executive tenant)

i think quite a few councils will pay your deposit if you ask for help and support, and you pay them back. May be worth asking them x

if you got to the jobcentre and speak to them you can get help whether it be in the form of a budgetting loan or a community care grant you will get help somewhere

Go and speak to your local council's Housing Department and ask them about their 'Rent Deposit Scheme' or similar.

Most councils do this nowadays - they will pay the deposit for you on a privately rented house .... if you agree to come off of (or not go onto) their Housing List for council accommodation.

They'll hmmm and ahhhhh a bit but keep on turning up day after day (preferably with a screaming LO ;) ) and they will soon sort things out for you :hugs::hugs:

I think a friend of mine got an arrangement through her agent with the landlord where she pays a percentage of her deposit each month on top of the rent rather than having to pay it all up front.. i think you must have a gurantor to do this though but your housing agencies should know what is available and if they don't then check with local council and job centre :flower:

xxx

i used the rent deposit scheme but the landlord of the house you are renting has to agree to this being done, i also got the other half from a crisis loan and a community care grant, the crisis loan has to be paid back but the community care grant doesnt you have to be in reciept of benefits or waiting to hear about benefits.
