This is a tad embarrassing, but what the heck... I know most of you girls pretty well now... For the past year, I have noticed that I am one sweaty so-and-so. :hissy:

I first noticed it when I was taking clomid a year ago - which I only took for two months. I didn't worry too much about it at the time, as I knew it was a likely side effect. I only noticed sweating before that when I was doing exercise. However, it's not got any better. I am currently taking drugs for IVF, but even before I started them, I was still sweating. It's got so bad that I only wear black or white tops, and I'm noticing that even after washing my clothes they smell ... It's starting to get me down.

I've tried different shop sold deodorants - Natrel, Dove, Sure, etc - and none seem to prevent me from sweating. I don't want to be a smelly bugger, so if anyone has any tried and tested treatments, could you please let me know. I'm going to have to go and see my doctor about it, as I am fed up spending a fortune on tops that I wear for a few weeks and then throw out, and I am afraid to take my jumper / jacket off in work in case I smell and upset my colleagues...

BTW - I'm posting this in LTTTC, and Health and Wellbeing ...

Have you ever tried Dricolor?

I was going to suggest Driclor too. I've used it for years and it is fantastic!! Only used to be available on prescription but you can now get it in most chemists.

It is what your doctor will recommend if you go see him/her.

Thanks guys - I'll go look for it tomorrow.

Yeah driclor does the trick. It contains aluminium hydroxide or something. You use it every night for the first two weeks then you can eventually cut down to twice a week. It may sting slightly. Best thing is to wash your armpits, dry gently (rubbing will make it sore) and then apply driclor. Leave your arms up to let it dry and then go sleep. Next morning wash it off when you shower. Once it is controlled I wouldnt use it all the time...sometimes it is good to sweat, I would just use an 'antiperspirant' deodrant which isnt as strong but helps.

No advice, but I do get very hot while on Clomid too. I am wearing thin short sleeve blouses at work, and everyone else is freezing with their sweaters! LOL! But, it wouldn't be fun sweating. I would talk to your DR about it too though. It could be an indication of another problem.

Well I didn't get to the shops yesterday - the cramps and headaches I've got at the moment, are nothing short of torture. And they're still here this morning. I'm going to go into work to do a couple of hours and then I'm coming home via the chemist. I'll chat to the pharmacist and see what he/she says about the Driclor, and if needs be, I'll make an appointment with my GP too.
