Hello. I began working in the emergency room around a year ago, and have had to help deliver the news of a lost pregnancy more than I care to think about. Having had a miscarriage myself, I can relate to the heartbreak they feel on a level. But, when it comes to comforting someone at that moment.. no one wants to hear I know how you feel, this happened to me too. I had a patient recently who affected me more than any others recently. And its made me want to do SOMETHING to help, even if its in a small way. So Im asking anyone who heard the news of their loss in an emergency room, if you were given something like a blue and pink infant loss ribbon pin as a gesture of compassion.. how would you of felt?
