My IBS is much worse with this pregnancy. I've had 2 occassions in less than week where I'very been writhing in agony from cramping (worse than labour) and then what seemed like, my entire system emptying itself! Neither times were things that have been triggers before.

I don't recall this being worsened with my first pregnancy.

First one I'd been snacking on grapes throughout day to try to placate the nausea. Grapes have never been an issue before.

Second time was today when I ate houllimi cheese griddled in a salad.

Has others found it worse? I don't have a dr diagnosis for my IBS, i managed it myself to date (mum has it, sister has it etc) so I'm not sure I can really state 'it's my ibs' when my medical records don't show this to be the case.....IF i tried to discuss with a medical person

Hi
Upto now touch wood my ibs has been fine, I used to take tablets for it but haven't had them for over 12months as I know control my diet & I know what I can/can't eat & drink I can't eat grapes or drink grape juice as this sets my ibs off really bad but for my morning sickness I can eat tinned mandarins which doesn't affect my ibs, it is a pain but it's just a case of going through & trying things in low doses & making a list of what you can & can't eat, you do eventually get used to it.
Hope you feel better soon x

I was diagnosed with IBS many years ago. (Had symptoms for as long as I can remember) Then a few years ago I found out I'm gluten intolerant. I am also intolerant to dairy, oatmeal, grapes, and a few other things. When I cut gluten from my diet I saw a difference like night and day. I literally have no more IBS symptoms. I still eat dairy occasionally (just cheese as milk and yogurt really makes me sick) but I can't eat oatmeal or grapes or I will get sick.

Not saying you have a gluten intolerance, but maybe a food intolerance is something to look into. I am completely symptom free now. It's a great feeling. I really is worth looking into.

I hope you feel better soon.
