Did the marzipan on the cake and thought it should be left 24 hours, but somehow thought id make that up and went right ahead and iced it (both ready roll). Now I realise I should have left marzipan 24 hours at least..

Will my cake be alright still??

It's my brothers christmas pressie, so I hope so!!

My mum mentioned this to me the other day - think its to do with the colour of the marzipan bleeding in to the icing?? Maybe????

Sure it will be fine, plus, I'm sure your brother wouldn't mind!

If you wanted you could always buy some of that glitter type stuff (sorry don't know the 'proper name') for tops of cakes and sprinkle that on to try and cover it a little!

Well done for making one.......my mum done mine.........its booooootiful!!!

 I have some glitter for it already. I love making/decorating cakes. Can't believe I did that bit wrong. Ah well it smells fecking delicious and I don't even like xmas cake.
