I have to give tom suppositories daily to help him go as he cant push out poop....

they dont work! They come out again and again and again and turn to mush! It is VILEEE VILLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Aww hun, i know what you mean. I had to use them after i gave birth, they're frickin useless in my opinion Isn't there something else you can try to help LO?

Aww bless hun...i wouldn't think that would be easy for a little baby...i had to use them during my pregnancy and sorry if if this is tmi but i was in the bathroom for ages...it took me bloody days to get the hang of it! It certainly isn't as simple as people think...

my daughter was the same before when she was a baby. I have to give her prune juice mix with some water once or twice a day. That should help you baby poo a little better.

i put boiled blended raisons and prunes in his porridge for breakfast and also inhis rice. I shot watered down prune juice in his mouth from a syringe as he wont drink it. Nothing seems to work as he dosnt have the stregnth down there to poop due to his SB.

Going to go to the docs and get some lactulose.

We have glycerine suppositories for babies that are liquid. Maybe look for something like that?

First dosage might not work, and your doctor won't prescribe him more than 2.5mls 2xdaily.. We had to get our community nurse to do it for us. So if you have no one, maybe, er.. do it under your own steam? Won't hurt him, Tegan has that dose or she can't poop either.

my son who is 12 is on a special diet when he was little they never started him on this diet untill he was 3 months old & this diet involves his liver couldn,t digest food proberly but because they never started him on the diet straight away he was permently constipited & we was forever calling a doc out i think the doc got so fed up of coming out all the time he told us that when he struggles to go to use washing up liquid around that part on the out side & believe me it worked & it was the doc that told us to do this i know it sounds a bit yuuk but it does work . violet xx
