same as title realy, my section already been put back 2 days, now both my kids have started with a horrid cough and cold, im scared i get it, my section is on the 22nd if i do will they not do it? section due to low layin placenta x

I had a friend who had a c-section with a cold so you may be alright. I can't imagine they would do it if you had the flu or a sickness bug though.
If it were me I would be walking round in a mask and sanitising every handle surface etc.
Fingers crossed you will be OK.

haha im not walkin around with a mask but keep my distance as much as pos an wipein everything down haha

I had a horrible head cold a week or two before my c-section. Three days before, it still hadn't cleared up completely and I was coughing and sneezing. I had my last appointment with my doctor/surgeon that day and I asked him if it would be a problem. He was shaking his head "no" before I even finished the question.

I imagine as long as it's not a serious illness like pneumonia or the flu or something, it's usually not a problem.

You should be fine, but I would keep my distance and use anti bacterial any chance you have

Thanks girls i no im not aloud to go into labor so kinda no theu stil do it if im not realy poorly but on tje other hand dnt realy wana be ill along with recovery frm a section. Il just keep my distance as much as i can an keeep germ freein the house haha

I had an awful cold right before my second section I was just laying in bed coughing into an old pillowcase!! I actually phoned the hospital to check as I was worried due to the coughing and the section wound and also spreading infection but they said it was fine so you should be okay hun x
