Who takes care of LO's?

I've got a migraine today and it's taken me until now to be able to lift my head up. My parents have my 4 & 5 year olds this weekend so I have my 23 month and 8 week old.

It's got me thinking about if I was really ill and couldn't function what on earth I would do. No point asking FOB as he refuses to see them unless it's a prearranged time that he's set

What do you do?

I can't do anything.. No one is around to look after gem. :nope:

xxx

my sis may look after them for me, but if not I have no one and usally just get on with it!x

Same with me, cant rely on boys dads for anything!! Last year I had glandular fever and felt shocking for weeks on end, couldn't function at all but had no choice its just me and my boys xx
Hope you feel better soon

All me.

If Shaun wasn't at work, he might watch them

:hugs:

V xxx

I just have to carry on as normal as possible, but I think my mum would take her for a couple hours if I really couldnt do anything, I remember my mum caught chicken pox from me when I was 4 and she had it so bad she couldnt look after me so I had to stay at my aunts for a week, ive only got my mum though im sure if I was really seriously ill she would take LO for a couple days x

Whenever I've been ill one of my sisters has came to stay or last year when I had a horrible flu, my friend came down for a couple of days. If none of them can make it (and thats happened this year) then it's just me and it's horrible :( :flow:

Firstly I would ask my parents, if they couldnt do it I would ask FOB and if he couldnt do it I would ask his mum, then I have aunties and uncles. I dont get ill much but when I do I am usually bed bound. Lol. Like last year I fell ill with a cold and ended up with the shakes and I felt terrible ended up in bed for 2 days.

I only trust my mum looking after Lily & as we live with her she would help me out!

i just have to get on with it! i have no-one who could take my son.

i had my tonsils out when my son was 2yrs old. my mum managed to get 2 days off to have my son but from then on i was on my own. i wasn't meant to be getting out of bed, washing my hair or moving too much but had to cook meals, change nappies and bath my boy cause no-one else could do it for me. you cope because you have no choice.

i wasnt a single mum at the time but my oh was away with work and me and zane had a awful d&v bug and i had to hold it n both ends to look after him and i did for 2 weeks as i had no other choice....my family were only 25 miles away and they didnt help.

now im a single mum of 2 again my family are only 2 miles away and i still have to look after them. ive been really ill with a bad cold and my mum wouldnt help cuz she was tired!!!

I do it all myself. If I was *really* bad, then I'd like to think my parents would have him for me

When I had to get my abscessed tooth removed my mom watched after Livi. I was on so many painkillers and then got horribly sick after taking the pa in killers that I literally couldn't leave bed or even open my eyes.

I've been sick for 3 days now and the first day I just got on with it, the second day I got sent home from work and my mom looked after her while I slept it off for a couple hours. Today I just got on with it.

I've found that I can manage her fine unless I have to take medicine, then I quite literally become narcoleptic and it gets dangerous so I have to ask for help. If I didn't have anybody to watch her, I'd just not take the medicine.

I normally have to just get on with it. There was once I was really bad and luckily my mum wasn't working so she helped out for a few hours so I could lie down xx

i would think my mum and sister would help out, but my mother did it all on her own when we were all sick.. matching puke buckets and everything. :P

Me even when i wasnt on my own it was mewho lookedafter them if i was ill!

I use an in-home daycare and she has been an absolute life saver sometimes. I pay her of course but if I'm really sick she will help me out plus she will watch them weekends during tax season when I have to put in 7 day work weeks.
