In my wrap! I went too watch OH play football yesterday and had Harry in it for about 2 hours I walked about 2 miles in total and i was in agony by the time i got home!! I must be doing some thing wrong? when hes first in it its fine hes up nice and tight and high and the longer i have it on the more he slips down and end up with his head under my boobs almost, really pulling on my back :-s hmmmmmm

Do you retighten? I always put mine on 15/20mibs before I'm leaving as sagging occurs in this time, so I've got time to retighten before I leave the house.
What carry are you doing with him?

Iv got a sleepy wrap, its just the same as the moby i'v been using this way...

Apart from i didnt have his head tucked in yesterday. (it was very warm!)
I did have too stop half was home too retighten that was after id had him in it for about an hour and half i should have probably done it before i left but i thought it was ok! anyway iv just been too the shop with him in it and he seemed fine he seemed nice and high didnt seem to be sagging at all but he was only in it for 20mins max!

Im thinking maybe carrying him on my back might be easyer for me? altho he might still be too small for that and i do like him on the front, maybe theres another way i can wrap it!?

when its like this...

i have no problem! but he seems too slide down

how are his legs sat? They look like they are low and your cross overs arent wrapped under his bum so he will slip and I can see how it would strain your back.
You really want his legs tucked up "froggie" style (or outside with his knees higher than his bum but hes the same age as my LO so hes probably not ready for legs out yet) so when you cross over from the shoulder you are supporting right under his bottom so its not possible for him to slip down in the wrap.
Let me find a picture.....

Look at the kangaroo carry, in a cross front carry (like you have him in there) you still wnt thier legs and the wrap to look like it does there, right snug up close holding baby up rather than with the legs dangling down and the wrap really low. Kangaroo is a different wrap style (though its fab if you want to use it!)

HTH

thank youuu :) i have his legs like...*goes off too take a pic since hes fast asleep in it atm!*

ok after looking hes really wonky in it! i cant have it right  maybe i need too re-read the instructions! or go back to the baby bjorn + sore sholders! ...

 dont laugh at me :haha:

ah, to me in that picture hes not in the right position in the wrap and your wrap cross overs arent spread enough so hes sliding to one side. Ideally you want bum sat right down into the wrap and knees higher.
On your photo the wrap isnt sitting right under his bum its over your right shoulder and across his back and under his leg rather than it being spread across so it goes right under his bum, this helps hold him up. I then fold over the bits on my shoulder (twist them/overlap them) as this gives it more stability.

Id do some pics for you with Theo but I dont have a mirror big enough to get a look at it and OH is out so cant get him to take them!

i think part of the problem is im not really taking much notice as i do it doing it really quick so probably not getting it right i'll have too take my time im sure i'll get the hang of it!

Here are the moby instructions - they are quite good:

sooo...the kangaroo hold? think i'll give it a go!

I use the hug hold but Leila is 5 months old. Didnt really get on with it while she was tiny she didnt like having her legs all bent up inside so I only really started using it a couple of months ago once i could put her legs out.

try the front wrap cross carry :D never failed me

Oooh need to try that one - looks similar to the kangaroo hold on the moby site but you put baby in half way through instead of trying to wrap round baby which looks tricky - especially with a wriggly 5 month old :dohh:
