Well I havent been on in ages!! I had my little girl 12 days early on April 18th at 6:16PM, weighing 6lbs 14 oz.

On the 17th, I was at my OHs house. At around 7:30, I was having contractions..At first I thought they were Braxton Hicks because I always get them. But these were PAINFUL and they were steady (right off the bat they were 3-5 min apart). My OH kept telling me that we have to go to the hospital but I kept saying no because I didnt want them to tell me it was false labor...Eventually I gave in and went anyway :haha:...We met up there with my parents.

They brought me in and turns out, I was in labor! :happydance: I was almost 3cm dialated when I got there. They hooked me up to everything and it began. At first the contractions werent painful...The whole time I was thinking "Wow, this is labor? Women are dramatic if they think this is the worst pain" :haha: :winkwink:. They checked me again and when I reached 4 cm, they had to break my waters. After that OH BOY!! That was no joke! I have never felt pain that intense before !! I was nearly screaming (Im a quiet person and I dont normally complain when Im in pain). I needed an epidural. I asked for one at 5 cm, and I got it at 6 cm (I was proud of myself for making it that far!). When they gave me the epidural, I was freaking out because they made my OH leave the room. I was crying so much and screaming because I had to stay still through 2 contractions. And the epidural was painful :(

But after it was done, it was amazing! I could still feel when I was having a contraction and it was a little painful, but I could handle it. I was Heaven! Haha. :haha:

Then it was time to push :happydance:. I was so excited because my baby was coming. At first it was soooo easy. I didnt feel a thing and they kept telling me I was pushing perfectly. But a little while into pushing, the epidural was wearing off. I told them and they gave me more (I dont know why because I thought they couldnt give me any after a certain point ) But I was happy anyway. I felt my entire body go numb again except for my left hip (the epidural worked a lot better on my right side and my left side could still feel some pain). I could feel soooooo much intense pain on my left hip, it was unbearable They said I had a window there, which means in that spot, the epidural would have no effect, so I felt everything there. I stopped pushing because I couldnt take it. (Btw, its a lie when they say that when you are having contractions you want to push because the pain will go away...because the pain did not go away!)

Well, after a total of 3 hours of pushing, I gave birth to my BEAUTIFUL baby girl, Emma Marie :D

ahh congratulationss:D
do you have any pictures?x

Congrats! And this is making me think twice... I was adamant I wasn't going to have an epidural but now I'm not so sure :haha:
