I'm getting married!

Hi all,

Well as the title says I am gettin' married! My OH proposed last Sunday on top of a mountain in the Swiss Alps, very romantic even though I knew he was going to ask the question as we had chosen the ring together. He still got down on one knee and said some really romantic sweet words that made me well up. Our daughter woke up half way through the proposal crying for food so we had to stop, feed her and then carry onm it was quite funny really! She had to be in on the action!

We have been together for 7 years next month and we have a beautiful baby girl together. I have been waiting for this moment for a very long time and now it is here I feel a bit overwhelmed with the though of planning a wedding!

We are thinking next summer back in Victoria, BC Canada where we are from so that means planning the wedding remotley as we are living in Switzerland at the moment! Eeek

Congrats!!! What a sweet proposal story!

I'm also planning a destination wedding. Yeah, it might be more complicated doing the planning from so far away but it will definitely be worth it!

lemograss-a fellow victorianite! I have no idea where to get married, so many choices..any ideas?

Beacon hill park- popular spot I think, dallas rd would be really nice, the butchart gardens- expensive though I would think.

I agree, Butchart would be expensive.

Outdoors would be nice, I am hoping for next summer but you can never count on the weather!

Me too- he hasn't asked yet but I know he will soon. So I'm figuring we'll have our wedding in June- not too hot but still likely to get sunshine.
