So I have been kind of hanging around here recently, decided I need to ask y'all a question, so here I am.

We have been trying for 6 months for no #2. I have been checking CM, temping and using OPK's. Usually I have EWCM for about 4 days before OV confirmed by temping.

This month OPK's getting closer and closer to positive but no EWCM it is just creamy and strange. OPK was neg yesterday but my temp jumped almost a whole degree C from 36.17 to 37.05. I have a cold so blaming it on that. OPK this afternoon was almost positive but still no EWCM.

Anyway we have been at it like rabbits (despite the ills) and I have 50 IC's to burn. Gonna start peeing on stuff in a week or so.
Would love to hear your experience, thoughts and opinions on my OPKs an CM.

I'm no expert but the only thing I could think of is if you've been taking any cold medicine? I know that could affect your cm and make it less ewcm.

Thanks Daisy, I have only taken cold meds once about 3 days ago. Since then I've only had a few paracetamol. Really good point though I hadn't thought of that.

Anyway my temp went up again this morning and my chart looks ridiculous!
I have decided yesterday evenings opk was positive so I may or may not be 1dpo today.

I feel like this is a tww I am out of before it has even begun. Humph.

I’m totally opposite some reason I seem to get the flu sometimes around the time I ovulate my cm still shows the ewcm.

Your body could be trying ovulate this month but isn’t quite there to release the egg but that could be down to illness, stress etc. But I’d say try some preg tests and see if that shows anything. If not try some pregnacare vitamins. When we were trying for our 2nd unfortunately we had a string of very early losses. I read some reviews on couples pregnacare tablets to help boost any vitamins etc both parties might be low at i don’t know if it was mere coincidence or they worked but 1 month taking them we conceived our son and pregnancy stuck.

So, I've done another opk and gave an ic a go.

Opk still looks strong but don't think it is positive?

IC definitely negative, not surprising but it was a good idea to check it.

So I guess I just have to wait and see what my temp does for the next few days.

My ovulation got delayed by 4/5 days this month due to being sick! I don’t do OPKs so not sure if they would have been positive but my guess is the same is maybe happening to you?
I read that decongestants and ibroprufen can delay/stop O too if you have taken any of those whilst you’ve been sick?

That's good to know Swedengirl. I have used decongestants so maybe that is what is screwing me up.

I will keep temping and POAS and hopefully the next few days will give me some answers.

The IC dried with a super pink evap. Grrr. I don't think I am pg and I suppose it is good to find out now how bad they can be so I don't get my hopes up when or if I ever get into the TWW which I may or may not be in already!

Hope you Ov soon! I found it so frustrating BDing with great timing and then for O not to happen and have to persuade my OH to keep trying when I’d already exhausted him!

Sounds like your body is close to ovulation. Keep up the bd every other day. Honestly the smallest thing can delay your body from ovulation. Lots of luck and hope the vits help

So this mornings temp was much more sensible at 36.86. This is a normal post o temp for me so I am thinking I did o and the cold and meds etc caused the lack of ewcm.

Ff put me at 3dpo this morning. I'm thinking 1 or 2dpo is more likely. Gonna try to attach my chart.

It definitely looks like your 3dpo to me! But you know your "normal" more than me. I am guessing not as it would be on your chart but do you track your cervical position?

Normally I would think 3dpo for sure but I have had a high temperature anyway so I am not sure if the first temp rise is real or a result of the fever.

Don't really check cervix but have paid slightly more attention this month because of the lack of ewcm. It was high soft and open yesterday and the day before, not sure about the day before that. I should probably have put it on the chart

Ahh ok! Yes if you were high soft and open the past 2 days and no longer are its likely you ovulated yesterday in my experience!

It's all so confusing isn't it! I am glad the conversation now is when not if I ovulated though.

Not holding out much hope for this month because it has been so strange. But I am going to start symptom spotting anyway! Every one please join in.

Going to call it 2dpo today - symptoms - confusion! Nothing else.

Sounds like ure very close to ovulating. Or you may have missed the surge. Missing the surge is so easy to do because some womon have a very short surge.
Here's my positive opk hope this helps.

This was last Tuesday and I'm now 7 or 8dpo. My line only went as dark as the other line it never went any darker. But it's still a positive if the lines match.
What tests are you using?

I also have quite bad ovulation pains for 2 or 3 days. All around the right overy area and in my lower back. But not all womon get them pains. Have you got a photo of ure test?
