Hi all,

My lo is due to have his first jabs soon and my hv has said to give him 2.5 ml of calpol if he needs. Can I really give calpol to an 8 week old baby, I'm sorry I dont really think my hv knows what she's on about half the time so I wanted to check with you mummies x

calpol is fine at 2 months.
we didnt use it though.. didnt need it as she just slept alot more.

The calpol is safe from 2 months which is a little more than 8 weeks xx

My lo had her vaccines this morning and was told to give 2.5 ml if needed. At 2 o clock my lo started screaming in pain and we couldn't touch her legs so I phoned my hv up and she said to give her some calpol which I did at 3pm she is now fast asleep and in no pain...

With my first little one who is now nearly 4 we were told to give calpol as a precaution just before vaccine so it shows how quick things change xxx

I gave Calpol to my LO once we got home after her 8 week jabs. She was fine that day but a couple of days later she did have a temperature and got very upset. More Calpol made her feel better :)
