Implantation bleeding or early period??? :0/ HELP!!

Hiya!!
Really new to this bit here it goes!
We have just started trying for a baby this month. Not expecting to catch on straight away. I am not due my period until next week but started very light bleeding, slight cramps but nothing as bad as usually suffer badly with PMS!
What does everyone think? I've read it could be implantation at this stage of cycle or could be period come early?? Help! Hard not to get hopes up.

It sounds like fair game at this point. If it's bright red blood, chances are it isn't implantation. Implantation should typically be dark red, though that also isn't a promise of implantation. Just wait it out and see how it goes. What happened with me is that once we started ttc, my periods became a bit irregular due to the hormone changes caused by increased sexual activity. All sorts of things happened that didn't happen before, like early period, or getting period in the evenings when I usually get them in the mornings, etc. The only way to know is to wait. It isn't bright red it dark red but mainly brown small amount on pad and a couple of times when wiping!?

I had brown spotting for about 4 or 5 days when I had implantation bleeding.
I had a BFP before the bleeding started so I think she implanted a few days earlier because I didn't use a very sensitive test.

You can have spotting if you've just come off hormonal contraceptives.

How many dpo do you think you might be?

Haven't used any contraceptives for over 2 years just withdrawal which has worked. I already have 2 children but never had implantation bleeding so don't know what's normal! It's dark red/brown with no clots, small amount on pad or when wiping. No cramping which is usually what I suffer quite bad with. I think I'm around 12 days after Ovulation.
