In labour 8cm epidurals are amazing!

Holy crap people, I've only made it to page two but if you have an issue with ME and what I posted, take it up with ME, don't post it, spew it and attack me oh so discreetly as to not mention names like I'm not aware you're talking about me, or as if I'm not going to read it and become offended. How about before attacking what I posted, ask me to confirm what I meant and my intentions behind it? Geez.

It's a good thing her doctor told her not to eat because it CAN happen that the epidural can make you throw up during the pushing stage if you get it too late. My story was to explain what happens during the pushing stage if you throw up, that it pushes on the necessary muscles to deliver a baby. My story was to confirm what the doctor said, not to effin scare her.

She should be glad and thankful that her doctor passed on that information to her. I only wish mine had too, so I could have saved myself the pain of recovering and four long years of embarassment.

I hope her labour went well and that she's holding her little baby, and that nothing too dramatic happened, by my god ladies, you should be ashamed of yourselves for blatantly attacking a person for so many pages when she's unable to defend herself. Next time, confirm the intentions behind the post before attacking, send a PM with your concerns over the post or take the damn attack to the debate boards. Grow up.

I have no problem saying i have a problem with what YOU wrote and i wasn't trying to be 'oh so discreet'! I thought i was being quite clear as to what had annoyed me.

There is no excuse for posting what you did to someone who is in labour. It was a thoughtless thing to do and was clearly going to scare her. This is a forum, i'm not going to pm someone everytime i disagree with something that has been said.

Again agreed. I have no problem with saying I have a problem with YOU and what YOU wrote. It was thoughtless and unnecessary. I know it's certainly not something I would of liked to of come on and read if the OP had been me!

Agree with both! It's a forum, If you post your opinion expect to get other peoples opinions back. This is getting quite boring now IMO

I vote for this thread to be blasted into cyberspace !
Hope mum and daughter are doing well !

It wasn't opinion. It was confirming medical facts that her doctor had already told her, that eating after a late epidural can cause vomitting, and what can happen and why, and what happens if she were to vomit. The intention was not to scare like you're all assuming and attacking me for. What are you going to do next, go to the hospital she's at and attack the doctor for telling her not to eat because she could throw up?

I don't give a crap if you're all hormonal because we're all waiting to give birth. Attacking someone for what they wrote when it was not meant to scare is completely inappropriate and uncalled for. Stop jumping to conclusions over a post for crying out loud. Confirm what is meant and if you still have an issue with it, then say you have an issue with it.

I'm done in this thread. I could say much more, but I have more respect and class.

I have just read this post and reread your original post... I think at best the execution of your intentions were very poor. You could have said something along the lines of 'Your Dr is correct, i had a late epidural and ended up vomiting which caused more problems with the delivery than there should have been. Please listen to them and don't eat!'.

But to put the level of detail etc that you did was inappropriate in my opinion and very likely to upset the OP when its too late for her to do anything other than not eat, but she couldn't do anything about the epi (or vomiting if it is going to happen).

Again i just believe that you should consider the context of what you are writing prior to posting.

IMO you weren't just confirming it's true, you went one step further and started talking about all the stitches and hardship. If you had just said, yeah what he said is true then that would of been fine. But (again) imo you took it too far. If I had read that after posting I was happy and relaxed I would of freaked out completely.

So yes I do have an issue with it

bloody hell lol

can I just say the only reason Kira posted about the epi is if my memory serves me right that she was worried about having an epi to the point she didn't think she would have one

So I'm guessing the reason behind her post is to let all her friends who have been following her pregnancy journey that A she got the epi,B its worked and C its bloody fantastic which I can also confirm lol and now she is relaxed and ready to welcome her little princess into the word...END OFF!!!!!

Ok girls!!!!!!

no need to point at the thicko...she knows who she is pmsl xxxx
