I am getting induced at 41 weeks on 4/8. I wanted to do it natural but now I'm over due and getting induced if he doesn't come. How many turned into c sections? I was thinking I should go ahead and get a epidural just incase I need a c section. How long did it take for the baby to come? I am only one cm dilated

Ive being induced twice, with dd2 I was 2cm, they managed to break my waters and 47 mins she was born, with ds, had a pessary at 7pm, started having pains within half an hour, midwife thought was false pains was 6 cm at 130am and ds was born at 3am, would of being sooner but I got lazy with pushing, good luck hun xxx

I'm in the same boat as you - 2 days overdue (my ticker is wrong). The doctor wants to see me on April 9 (9 days overdue) to induce. So now I'm trying everything I can think of to get this baby out before then! Long walks, raspberry leaf tea, ... It's weird because everyone kept saying he would definitely be early (one ultrasound tech said no later than March 12th!) Is your doctor sending you for any tests between now and the induction? I had an ultrasound yesterday and am scheduled for non-stress test on April 7. Anyways - good luck to you!!!!

Nope no tests or sweeps before then. At 37 weeks he was measuring at 6lbs 8oz.

I was induced at 38+3 as i am diabetic, myblood pressure was higher than they would have liked and a scan at 38 weeks showed low fluid around the baby. I went into hospital at 8am, had the gel inserted at 10am, waters broken at 4pm and baby in my arms at 6.25pm! I have no idea how dilated i was at any point as they never told me but since it was before term i don't think i was dilated very much if at all.

I was induced a day before my due date. I was already 3cm and thinned out. They started potocin at 6am and by 7 my doctor came in an broke my water. I delivered her at 2:49ok that day. I only took some pain meds twice an did the all natural birth without the epidural. I honestly didn't think it was that bad at all. I didn't scream or get mad. You just have to keep focused and don't waste your breath screaming. Your going to need it to push. 😁 good luck!!!

I was induced at 41+6. My cervix was high, hard and closed. I had propess, 2 lots of gel, ARM and drip. I contracted well throughout - every 2 or 3 minutes with gel. Contractions were 6 in 10 on drip. I had epidural with the drip but I had been labouring for two days by then. 3 days after my induction started I had an emcs due to failure to progress. I was 3cm and had been for ten hours. I had to have GA due to failure of epidural and spinal.

I would not be induced again based on my experience.

I was induces both times and never needed a csection. You should only need one if there is a problem with baby or if you dont progress after several days of them trying to induce

How did it go? Well I hope.
I was induced with my third at 13 days late. Had one pessary and once my contractions started a couple of hours later it was almost exactly the same as my second labour. Gas and air for under an hour and pushed about 3 times x

I had pessary at 9pm started contracting every 3 minutes 2 hours later! Gave birth at 6.30am so my labour was about 7 hours xx

Very bad. After 28 hours of active labor he was born. Had 2 epidurals high fever just all around bad bad time. All is healthy now he is almost 3 weeks old now
