I was advised by my health visitor to buy some infacol for my LO,
She has been fine with it, but you can see by her face how much she hates the taste! anyway I stayed at MILs last night, she works in a dr surgery and today has asked one of the drs about it - great, lovely gesture getting information for me - but it doesn't sound right.
She said the doctor said that infacol shouldn't be given straight to a baby (it says on the leaflet to put half a dropper full on the back of babys tounge) and it should only be given in a bottle - now im breastfeeding so would have to express, don't want to, MIL has been trying to pressure me to bottle feed since day one, and now I'm pretty sure I know why - last night she said "its such a shame your not bottle feeding, I could of looked after her through a few nights a week and let you get some sleep"
I don't know if shes just trying to find a way to get my 3 week old daughter overnight, or this is truly what a doctor said, has anyone heard anything like this before?
