Initials? Really that important?

We just found out number 3 is cooking and we will be team yellow so naturally we are bouncing around some boy and girl names. A name I really, really, really love for a boy is Phineas Monroe. Monroe being a family name. Problem being our last name is Stutler. This makes his full initials PMS. I love the name so much and nothing else really wins me over but I have a feeling everybody will tell me he is going to be made fun of. Granted, everybody says that about my DS's first name lol My full initials used to be KCF and I got called KFC every once in awhile so I figure kids can and will make fun of anything no matter what.

Is it worth it to go with odd initials when you love the name so much? Or should I drop it and hope a new name wins me over by August?

I think it is fine myself. As you said kids will make fun of anything, not just a name. And in school and too friends he doesn't necessarily have to share his middle name either if he chooses not to.

I think its fine. I don't think PMS is commonly known among children, not like KFC, or POO or whatever. I'd definitely use it. Phineas is awesome!

I think the only initials I would actively avoid would be obviously vulgar ones (ASS, CUM, VAG, etc.), I think if there's some slight connection with something else then it's not worth ditching a name over. I can't remember many times that I've written down or said all three of my initials.

I think that it would be fine. Like pps have said, PMS would be more of a middle school thing, but he wouldn't necessarily have to tell people his middle name. I will admit though, I changed middle names for this baby so her initials wouldn't be LLL.

I don't think many children would know what PMS stood for, or understand it! :haha:
To be honest, I don't really remember ever writing out my full name at school, so middle name probably wouldn't come in to conversation.

I don't think initials will be a big deal. I doubt young children will know what PMS is and by the age they do know they have stopped caring what people's middle names are etc

I completely agree with pp's as long as its not necessarily a rude set of initials I wouldn't be too worried, it's not something that even occurred to us when we chose our names
