initials would be M.O.M.

My thought is that it's usually rare to use the initials of all three names together, it would mostly be seen as just "MM." That being said, I really love that name and think that it flows beautifully together. Also, I'm loving the alternate spelling "Mycal" it eliminates the "a" first or "e" first struggle I always have when writing the name Micheal/Michael. It makes a common name unique and I really like that.

I wouldn't worry about it for a second. The adults are noticing it because they're hearing his full name all at once (which will be uncommon later on), and because they're probably a lot more interested in his name right now than random friends and coworkers will be later in life. I find a new baby's name gets analyzed much more deeply than anyone would analyze the name of someone they met in school or work. And as long as initials don't spell something obscene, there's really no good way to use them against someone, you know?

We decided this morning that we will add a second middle name.
His name will be Mycal Oliver Joseph Martin. (All are family names)
<3 thank you so much everyone for the input!

Thank you! It's how my husbands middle name is spelled. I have loved it since I learned his middle name when we first got together. <3

Can I just ask what the problem with MOM is? Do you mean because it's like mum or mother? I don't get why that is an issue tbh...

Excuse me if there's some other glaringly obvious association that I've missed!

Yes MOM is like mum or mother.
I just know how mean kids can be when it comes to finding any little thing to pick on their peers about. I want to prevent any bullying I can. For my child or any other.

My name is Amanda and I had peers break it apart and call me "a man duh"

My DD's initials are CAK. We didn't notice until she was already named, but my brother in law finds it hilarious lol. I still love her name regardless. For a boy my husband and I wanted either Ethan Eugene or Eli Eugene...either way his initials would be EEK. lol I thought it was funny but didn't change my opinion on the names. If you really are concerned the suggestion of adding another middle is a great idea. maybe another family name or the name of a close friend.

I analyze everything... so of course I noticed it...
We decided to add another family name. Mycal Oliver Joseph Martin.
Joesph is my grandfathers middle name and my father in laws middle name. <3
