Insect repellent

I am away on holiday now and I've already been bloody bitten! They never touch my husband but they eat me alive especially at night... (I must just taste really nice)
Can I use insect repellent? I have a kid friendly one for my son but still don't know if it's ok in pregnancy.
I mean the sprays you put on your skin by the way, not the room ones.

We use the California baby bug repellent and it works great and is safe in pregnancy!

Yeah, it depends on the ingredients. We use California Baby as well. If I wouldn't use it on my baby, I wouldn't use it on myself. I am very careful with ingredients. Also, spray it on clothing (for the whole family) and not on skin.
