Any ladies out there know how they work?

Considering a purchase in the hope it'll help!!! xx

they are used as an alternative to tmpons but in ttc they are used to hold all those spermies up close to your cervix in the hope of making their jounery easier-if you look back through on ttc i think there are a few thread from girls who use them
good luck

I fully believe that Instead cups helped me get pregnant this month. At first, I was nervous about using them - I was worried it would get stuck or something! But just read the instructions, and you can't go far wrong. You can't even feel them in there, and you can leave them in for up to 12 hours! That's what I did - I wasn't letting those swimmers go anywhere!

Definitely give them a go - best £5 I ever spent :)

I used them for the first time the month I got pregnant, and I know I'm not alone. There's a few out there who have had success after many months of trying without.

I think they are great in helping you get pregnant.....now all I need is something that helps me stay pregnant!

I use them!!

I agree with AutumnSky. They are really easy to use, you can't feel them in there and getting them back out isn't half as bad as you think it will be!!!! Always leave mine in for the full 12 hours too.

More than happy to send you a couple to try if you want before you buy some?

Thanks ladies... i'm gonna go purchase some for the next cycle - figure it can't hurt and with our odds - it DEFINITELY can't hurt!!!

I'm with you Rach - after reading AS's happy news I'm thinking it can't hurt. Plus I'll be a bit more environmentally friendly when my first AF comes approx 10 months later ...

Hmmm - just had a thought - hope this isn't TMI.

Do you think you DTD in the normal way and then put it in - or do you get DH to do his bit in the cup and then put it in???

Told you it was TMI!!!

We DTD the normal way (him on top), and then I quickly scooted to the edge of the bed and put it in. Don't think it would work if he did his bit into the cup, because you have to squeeze the cup together in order to put it in, so you'd probably spill the majority of it on the floor (nice!)

xxx

Maz

AS - nice floor cleaning!!! I figure if DH had a 'normal' amount of :spermy: say 30 million - and half of them came out after :sex: which must happen and people get pregnant.... then putting that cup in should keep them all in so hopefully it will help!

Hours of endless fun, enjoyment and practising... dear lord!!!

We do it with DH doing it straight into the cup and I have always got it inside without any spillage!! They are quite deep cups....

I'm getting some very interesting images! Man i might make DH do it without me being present then.... i could have a bath, bite to eat, come home and whack it in!

Haha - I like the sound of whacking it in - saves any unnecessary wasting of energy ...

I have to admit that i used one once this cycle - not very well, as i could feel it and then i was scared in case it got stuck or i'd put it in wrong and so i couldn't go to sleep and took it out after two hours :dohh:
However seeing as how i am pregnant - who knows!

Tans that's good enough for me! Order me a lifetime's supply!!! :yipee:

Im liking the sound of the cups!!

The :spermy: seems to like it outside rather than inside

Where can you buy them from and how big are they? Im really scared about using them - never used tampons b4!!

Erm, scarily big at first sight, but they actually fit quite snuggly, and are prety easy to pop in and out. That said, taking them out was, erm, yucky enough that I wouldn't actually use them for AF only for TTC.

I also got a BFP first month using them, so I'm a def fan! Sadly I lost mine, but I'll be using them again as soon as I'm 'back in the saddle' so to speak.

Try here.....they also do very good value IC OPK's and HPTs' that actually work!

Thanks Lyns hopefully i will be able to use them ok and not get too scared! I hope everything goes well for you.

Hopefully we will get our :bfp: with the use of the cups!! :hugs:

I am using my mooncup this mth thanks Redfraggle for the info, i started using them for this cycle really easy to use and yes cant feel them once you know they are working, I would suggest practicing popping it in and out before using it for real, and when removing with liquid inside, just tilt gently and then the opposite side and this removes and wont spill!! Maybe best popping it in stood up with 1 leg on the bed and put it in like that with sperm inside?! I cant wait to get this started xox

Ive have bought some for this cycle too, my ov date is next week so im looking forward to using them.
I had a practice with them and they are really easy to use, although I did find it a bit difficult to get it out as I couldnt quite get hold of it. I dont know if anyone else has had that problem?! But I would recommend to anyone, its worth a try!!
