Introducing Jean-Luc

We just got out of the hospital, after two days inside. It took 14.5 hours of labour to get him out and finally a vacuum extraction at the end.

He is beautiful and I'm just stunned and can't get enough of him. His name is Jean-Luc Richard Panek, he weighs 9 lbs, 5oz, has a full head of hair and is 20.5 inches.

I keep marvelling over him. He's ours and I managed to push him out. I loved my epidural because without it I don't think I could have managed it. Had some tearing so I have stitches and walking around and sitting is very interesting.

I'll publish his birth story in the proper section, but after being over a week late I was happy that he finally came along.

Here he is, and after everything we've been through, we're so happy he's here, he's perfect and he's alive.
