ok so I have a little girl Caoimhe (keeva) and a little boy (james ... ex wouldnt let me have an irish name for him but all family call him by irish version which is Seamus lol)
Expecting with my new partner and i want another irish name ... so far i like Clodagh or Eithne (Enya) for a girl and Cormac or Dermott for a boy.
Any thoughts?
:flower:

Clodagh - how is it pronounced?
I like the Cormac very much.

How about Orlaigh for a girl.

I love Caoimhe BTW.

I love Clodagh, I might have to remember that one for when we start trying again!!

I wouldn't have Dermott because he was a boy in school who used to pick his nose all the time but Cormac was my childhood best friend so I like that one! Annoying how names end up getting ruled out because of someone you knew at school! :haha:

LOL loads of names ruled out because of school
loved Roisin (she bullied me)
So many Niamhs now thats a no go!
Think i'm set on Clodagh or Cormac (just gotta persuade the mister)

How about Siobhan? I may be very biased though as it's my name :)

I LOVE the name Caoimhe but hubby can't even spell my name so he would be at that one for days

My sister just called her little girl Bridie(after our grandmother). She didnt bother using the full version Bridget, she just went straight to Bridie. She get loads of comments on what a sweet name.

Lovely names. My favourites from yours are Eithne and Cormac. I love Irish names, dh doesn't so much :( I like Se' but maybe would clash with Seamus? Also Padraig and Brendan, Mairead, Reilly, Caitlin, Aoife and Aoibheann.

ETA: How can I forget Niamh, my gorgeous nieces name. (we also have 2 nephews, Sean and a Liam.)

Being irish i love irish names! how about cliona, rona, sifora, saoirse, maeve, oisin, fionn, finn, diarmuid,

I have 2 boys and they're called shay and oran.
For this bub we're thinking kian or finn for a boy and keavy or keely for a girl.
Clodagh is lovely too. We're in the same situation, some Irish names are just getting so common, and then with a lot of the nice 1's a lot of family members or friends get in there 1st!!So we're keeping ours secret til he/she is born!

I like Cormac and Keely:football:

My name is Eilish (A-lish) can be spelt Ailish or Ailis. My sisters Eimear which I love to! I hope oh agrees on a nice irish name! (He's half english half spanish)

How about Cliodhna? Clio would be a super cute nickname and I think Caoimhe and Cliodhna make a wonderful pairing :)
