Is 14dpo too early to take a test?

Today is the third day of me missing my period. I don't ever miss periods unless I'm pregnant. So, I decided to take a test. I took it around 3pm and had drank a little before that but my urine wasn't light. I did the dollar store test and it came back negative. No sign of a second line at all. Last time I was pregnant I took a test about 6 days after my period was due. I've been having period like cramps like I'm about to start, but I haven't yet. This happened last time I was pregnant as well. Also, I had sore boobs but none this time. I actually don't have any symptoms except fatigued a little. Do you think I tested too early?

It's possible. With my last pregnancy I tested the day my period was late and it was negative, but a few days later I got a positive. I don't know if you are pregnant or not, but I would try testing again if you don't get your period in another week. Good luck!

Thank you! I think I may have tested too early, I thought I was three days late but I was only two. So today is my fourth day with no period and no sign of one. So I'm going to test on Wednesday if I haven't gotten my period by then. I'll be 9 days late then.
