is 6pm too early for 7month olds bedtime?

Alex's bedtime is between 6-7, depending on when he wakes up from his afternoon nap.

Aria goes to bed anywhere between 8 to 10pm... It usually varies depending on what kind of day we had... I couldn't handle early mornings though either

Rylan sets his own bedtime according to naps. He used to have a power nap at 5;30 for 20 mins then go bed at 7, sleep for half past, then up at 8am

Last 2 days...he's been having bedtime bottle at 6:20 and asleep for 7, up at 5:45! I hate this new routine!

I put Poppy down half hour later last night and she only woke once! Yaaayyy! i started her routine at 6.45 and she was asleep by 7.30 woke 1am for feed then slept til 7am! Heard her twitter around 545 but just left her and she went back over....eeeek will try this again tonight!:happydance:

Emily still goes to bed between 6 and 7. I usually go by her last nap. She sleeps way better with an early night.

As long as you're happy with her wake up time and she's happy and sleeping well when she's asleep, why change it? We did the opposite, both of our LOs have had very late bedtimes as babies (11pm) because OH often doesn't get home until 8pm so he'd never have seen them otherwise. They'd then sleep till 10am the next day. As they got older we made it earlier so my 3 year old now goes to bed around 7pm and my 14 month old is now going to bed at 9.30pm (she's slowly making that earlier). It's worked really well for us as I would usually stay up till 11pm anyway, whether they were in bed or not, and I like a nice lie in! With my youngest sleeping till 10am, I've had time alone with my 3 year old in the mornings. Just do whatever works for LO and you as a family.

I think it's a pretty good bed time if it suits you and baby :) Personally, I wouldn't try and keep LO awake just so she'll go down for the night at her set bedtime though. If her having an extra nap and going down for the night at 8 is what she needs that day I'd go with that and perhaps try and bring her bedtime forward when she stops sleeping so much during the day?

Like some PPs, my DS will usually go down somewhere between 7 and 9ish, I like to do it a bit later so he can see his daddy and it's not like we have to get up early for anything.
I'm totally biased though because I'm 100% for doing things baby led lol :) xx

My lo is nearly 7months, she gets up at 8am, has only 1 nap through the day which normally starts around 12:30- 1pm and normally sleeps till 2:30-3pm. She starts gettin tired again around 6pm so we do bath, cuddle, bottle and bed. Normally around 6:30pm-7pm when in bed. xx

My LO is 8.5 months and goes down at 8.30. I would like it to be earlier though.

Erin's usually starting to get grotty and grumpy by about 5.30, so we start getting her ready for bed by 6 - she can be in bed any time from about 6.15 to 6.45pm, and normally is asleep within 5 minutes (her lullaby thing plays for 5 mins so I can time that one fairly accurately)... if we leave it later than about 6.30 to start sorting her out for bedtime it's a screaming overtired sleep-fight-fest.

We do get up at 6.30am though through necessity - she's awake and chatting to herself from about 6am. If the HV has any problems with that - she's welcome to do the screamingly overtired child bit.

My son goes to bed about 8:30. Sometimes 9.. he wakes up at 7:30.. but 6PM would be early for him, he wouldn't really see his daddy at all, so that's why his schedule is how it is :) I say if it works, stick to it.

Jasper used to go to bed at midnight and then get up properly at about 11 at that age....but oh how it's changed haha. Now 7-7ish.
