Is a mucus plug always bloody? semen or mucus plug?

I was wondering if when you have a mucus plug come away, if it is always bloody? if you have sex with ur partner how can u tell the difference between stringy semen and mucus plug x

no its not always bloody! and it doesnt all come in one go either, i had my baby on the 10th april (a little boy) and i had my mucous plug/show continue for a week and then more and more came outta me when i was in labour (sorry if tmi)

oh right okies thanku and dont worry about tmi i love tmi hehe i'm really not sure if it was my plug or not it was very stringy and thick but then can semen be like that sometimes? xx

How far are you?

I get bits of my plug come out now and it's not bloody but I haven't gone in to labour yet so could be refreshing itself.

I get grossed out at blood and stuff so hoping mine isn't bloody!

I started losing green and cream plug bits at 32 weeks with my first. This time I keep thinking I am but it's always about 24hours after we have sex so I'm thinking it's my body flushing out the liquids, if you like...

TMI warning, mine is a different colour to my discharge, it's like my foof blew its nose... it's a creamy almost pale green colour and comes out in 'globs' If it's on loo paper I can put two bits together and when pulling them apart it's stringy... (told you TMI lol)

I would say... semen turns quite thin and like liquid when mixed with your happy secretions and the temp inside your vagina.

Mucous plug is more like, sorry, snot from your nose.

i have been having some pale green like phlegm or snot discharge for a few days this week, only in morning can it be my plug after all i am onlhy 27 weeks
